Why is he standing like that? why does he look like he's 19?

Good Lord, it's actually worse than I thought. :funny:

Worst suit ever, it makes the SR suit look good compared to this crap.

( in charles barkley voice ) thats tuuurrible, just tuurible.

I think it's an overall improvement of the original new 52 suit. I like that Superman has his normal boots back. The belt is better as well as the bodysuit. Don't know what's going on with the extra long sleeves and unfortunately they kept the high collar; never liked the red accent color on the collar either.

yeah, why would he draw this bad? just to be different? cmon dc...

It's hilarious that this supposedly "outdated" design still kicks the **** out these super-kewl contemporary designs.

**** off, DC. :funny:

^ This. While I dig the updated New-52 suit (more form-fitting suit, less armor), the pre New-52 suit is still King and the ideal Superman look for myself and I think a lot of other people. That's saying something.

With the success of Man of Steel, you would of thought they'd adopt that look in the comics. Don't things from the movies usually make it into the comics sooner or later?

For marketing reasons, yes, but it is usually mercifully brief. All the same, the current trend of iconoclasm at DC has resulted in Zack Snyder becoming the most faithful steward of comic book classicism.

The problem with the newgen is that they too often fail to realize that there were those of the oldgen who were simply better than they and who got a good many things right the first time.
