There's two things I liked about the SR suit. The shade of blue and the look of the material they used for the blue suit. The rest was bleh. The one aspect I didn't like about the MOS suit was the blue suit. Most times it looks so dark it almost came off Grey and the material used looked like a shiny crocodile skin.

when it comes to the shades of color that they used before the filter, sure, the blue was nice... it was a muted light blue (i prefer a darker blue myself), but it was nice for what it was... but after that awful filter, it utterly destroyed any reminiscence of the classic color scheme. the blue became almost green, and the red became a dull light brown.

and concerning the MOS suit, the shininess didnt bother me too much... what did bother me, though, was how dark it was, and how desaturated it looked in certain parts. again, i like myself a nice vibrant blue (but not so vibrant that it looks gaudy), and it was a bit of a downer to see the blue so lackluster in MOS

I agree that it does look brighter and better in the BVS trailer but we're still 9 months out. The filter and color scheme could change a lot by release and we could end up with another MOS color scheme. I just personally don't understand why directors of superman properties in the 2000's seem to constantly change his color scheme through muddy/muted filers

and on top of that, i REALLY dont understand the over-use of cyan-blue / yellow filter we find in so many movies these days... look at most of the movies, even in the posters, and you will see that most of the colors used will either be teal-blue/cyan or orange/yellow... i understand that they're complimentary colors, but there are other complimentary colors that one can use

i've always loved the fleischer suit with a passion... a long time ago, i even did a few manips of what the SR suit would look lik eif it were modeled after the fleischer design.

a dream of mine would be a Superman movie dedicated to that time period

I always thought superman would play well in a period movie. Ditto for WW.

Disagree. Why they would put a filter that they won't use. The trailer is lead to what we are gonna see. It's not a behind the scenes.. It's a teaser trailer man.

Agreed. I think with Fong on board, Snyder is taking this film in a slightly different direction than MoS (which I'm excited to see). I think he heard the complaints about the color palette on MoS and MAY have taken those to heart a bit more this time round, but then again, maybe it was the plan all along...who knows.

It's happening with Jurassic World, the filter has changed a lot throughout the trailers.

i do... the background is different, and the overall tone and atmosphere is brighter

One of the best compositions in MOS. Wish it lasted longer.

That whole sequence of Zod running up the building like a rabid dog and then colliding with supes is well done. It really highlights the power of the clash and is so dynamic looking.

No it doesn't it just proves that Superman doesn't care about anything except death! :o

Maybe because the VFX weren't finished? Again, it's not a big difference, it's a normal difference between the trailer and the film.
False god! Go home! Go home!!:cmad::o

He's not going anywhere... more destruction will come... he doesn't have enough!

and what makes you so sure the VFX for BvS was finished for the trailer?

Well I didn't. But if you compare the shot from Superman vs Zod with the shot with Superman and the "Day of Dead" people you'll see there's no much VFX there, and that color palette I don't think will change.

The bottom image looks more natural.
