^ It means "kill".

I'm thinking that Superman has modified his shield to be more of an S then it was before.
On his planet it means SnappingOn his planet it's not an "S".

Which one is which? Is it between a trailer and a clip from the movie? This shot doesn't have any VFX

I really hope someone can decode this, I would love to know what it reads.
I gave it a try, but I just don't have the patience for this type of detective work. I pulled up a Kryptonian alphabet on google and maybe its just me, but I think its a lot like writing in cursive, no two people write it the same way there are variations in the way the letters and written.

Also, is it written left to right or right to left...and is the top writing flipped, using the seam as an upper margin or not...who knows how Kryptonians write their text![]()
Ahh good point. Didn't even consider that. Still I really hope someone here has the patience and talent to decode it, would love to find out what is says.
Be hilarious if it said "Kids drink your Ovaltine" hahaha
t: I've got this comic by the way...worth a whole $8
Or Quik chocolate milkt: I've got this comic by the way...worth a whole $8

Hahahaha, The Quick Bunny confirmed as main villain in BvS lol

Hope they keep the "Q" collar that same size and keep the classic blue...cause that's MY Quik Bunny![]()
t:When a trailer is in the process of being finished, being prepped to be distributed, it goes through a process called "DI", Digital Intermediate, meaning it is digitally color graded by a professional colorist. This involves going through the trailer shot-by-shot and determining how to best balance the image as well as make it pop, by sometimes highlighting and/or darkening specific areas of the frame. This usually includes input from the film's studio creative executive who oversaw creation of the trailer, sometimes it includes input from the creative team that actually cut hte trailer. This is done mostly with regard only to what looks good for the trailer, not necessarily the overall film itself. Also, trailers are typically being cut and finished before there's an absolute final cut of the movie that itself has been polished and color graded.Which one is which? Is it between a trailer and a clip from the movie?
But could be that the director didn't like the first shot in the trailer and wanted or was requested for a more "realistic" feeling to the movie (speculation)
Why would that be the case in BvS?
Most people have love the cinematography and filters shown on it.. so it may not be the same case.![]()
You're kidding, right?
No I am not. I don't mean that Superman wants it to be an S but has kinda shifted it like a brand.
The MOS S looks like it was based off an animal to me. The inner part of the S bulges out and it's more like a snake.
Now the BVS tones that down a little. The curve are more smooth and theres more definition in the yellow parts. So he has made the symbol resemble an S more intentionally.
BUT
He injects more of his kryptonian heritage with the writing within the S.
Clark knows it's an S to the earthlings and now they call him Superman so he does some tweaking.
Hope they keep the "Q" collar that same size and keep the classic blue...cause that's MY Quik Bunny![]()
Nice!![]()
I only tweaked the levels of exposure and the yellow colour of the spotlights.
And that the MOS one was a behind the scenes official pic.Different day settings obviously not to mention the person who took the BvS one clearly messed up the exposure.
To me the blue hasn't changed at all, while the yellow (more like gold in BvS) and the red on the shield have.
IMO the S (specially in the trailer) it just has the same size as the MOS one, the only big change is that they add more blue on his collar. It just hit me: is anyone else getting SR "S" vibes with the MOS "S" with this suit for BvS?
At last a decent shot of the suit itself, almost no reflection and a normal level of exposure :

We did with the leaked promo art in Ultra HD.Has anyone else noticed the kryptonion symbols located above the bicep/below the deltoid?? I think it's cool.

I really don't find it solids similarities more than they both are S.![]()
Not really, no.
It says "Superman loves Wonder Woman in your dreams Wolfie"We have noticed them before, but this is one of the clearest shots at them.
Hmm... what if both Wonder Woman's shield and Superman's suit say the same thing? "Eat at Joe's" perhaps?
Thanks pal
I like all three costumes.

Except for the cheap looking Supergirl (it looks as some guy really made it, makes sense, and the S is classic, so while I prefer the MOS one, I think that's a nice touch. Agreed on everything else.REALLY?
I think the S on the Supergirl suit is so cheap looking. It looks like what you would see on a Supergirl T-shirt to me. The BvS shield, in contrast, really looks like a coat of arms to me; it has a regal feel to it. The more I look at it (or the MOS one; they're nearly the same) the more I love it. It's probably my favorite shield to date, in comics or film.
This! These movie costumes are the best costumes for these characters out of all media imo.
Again, I don't see it much difference.I definitely prefer the MOS shield size but like what they've done with the design in BvS, I really can't understand why they made the shield smaller though...
Me tooYessss! The BvS suits and S shield are the best incarnation to date. I wish so bad the comics would look more like this.
So the S, symbol of the house of El, has to look human? Because of that? And yeah, it looks like an S.It looks too alien to me. Part of Superman's appeal is that, while he may come form another planet, at heart, he is human. It just doesn't look like an "S" to me.
Thanks for the educational post. When a trailer is in the process of being finished, being prepped to be distributed, it goes through a process called "DI", Digital Intermediate, meaning it is digitally color graded by a professional colorist. Though the filmmakers are often included in some portion of the trailer approval process (late in the game, at least, after having gone through multiple rounds of revisions and focus group testing), I don't think it would be true to say that they're often included in the actual finishing process, such as sound mix and color grading/picture approval.
Again, I don't see it much difference.
