BvS The Superman Suit Thread - Part 4

So it's been a long time since we first saw the new suit.

My reflections on it now.

Really like how the S has a different pattern. That really makes it pop in the trailers.
The gold for it is super visible and great. Never ever want to see the yellow dull ever again.

Love the those armbands and side floral's going on.They are simply great. I do wish they popped out a little more just because they are gorgeous to look at.

The yellow belt though is a problem. I think they should just make it a full wrap around. It's got a great pattern and color. But that yellow square thing, is just kinda there. Sorta wish they left it out. Otherwise complete it.

Not really missing the red trunks anymore. I think the gold is more then making up for it. With the MOS suit we had red, blue, and super dull yellow. Now the gold gives us something to play with.

The belt being broken up on Superman's is to keep the flow through the torso to legs better... without trunks a full solid gold/yellow belt really cuts the body in half visually.

On Batman the belt is very thick and dark to it doesn't hinder the flow from torso to legs.

On the HotToys... that Batman body is clothed way too loose, and much of the muscle definition in the movie suit is lost.

I'm really really hoping they end up fixing the fabric for the suit on the Hot Toys Batman with the final product.

The display figure from the covention last week had a better fitting suit.

The mannequin looks the best out of all of them, to be honest.

Well the briefs are pretty akin to ugly Christmas sweaters.

Yeah, never in my life have I ever considered buying a superhero movie collectible figure, but I may actually have to make an exception for the BvS trinity. The Hot Toys Superman one is amazing.

I'm still on the fence, though, about whether I like the DC Collectibles Batman more than the Hot Toys one.

Get this one from Iron Studios, then. It's superior to both of them. :oldrazz:

Why is Batman stuff posted in a superman suit thread?. I was under the impression Batman had his own thread.

Because like his own sequel, Supes always gets outshined by the Bat. :o

Fixed pose statue vs fully poseable movie masterpiece 1/6? Gotta go with Hot Toys.

You can't compare un-movable statue displays to the Hot Toys figure.

The Hot Toys figures have a ton of movable joints where you can pose the figure and swap out facial expressions.

The statues are pretty much just that, they're unmovable and are pure display items.

Also the difference in facial detail between those figures speaks for themselves.

Valid points, but I still prefer the Iron Studios figure based on aesthetic value alone. Moreover, they're all just "display items" to me, as I likely won't be purchasing them anytime soon.
