BvS The Superman Suit Thread - Part 4

Now, any time I see a pic of that particular version of the suit, I'm always going to think of Singer's *****iness story.

Well for me it was obvious it wasn't thr final product, but it's still no excuse imo. For me the worst thing about Superman Lives is Nicholas Cage as Superman. How the heck couLD anyone think that was a good idea.
As for the suit he wears...I would argue it's better than the SR suit. The blue and red is better at least.

The other muscly suit with the bad Japanese thong was better, aside from the thong, but cage would have been a tough sell. As I have said, it would have lived side by side with his Batman, interestin, even fun...maybe but still, for me, missing the mark of what Superman is and could be.

Snyder did it for me, even though I have a few peeves with MOS, it is still my preferred rendition.

Being a huge Tim Burton's Superman Lives fan, I got to set this straight to anyone who hasn't seen the documentary yet. THIS was an EARLY EARLY suit test shoot. THIS was NOT going to be the final product, and by throwing it out there like it would prove how ****** Superman Lives was going to be, is invalid! That is all.

So glad someone finally pointed this out! The final suit actually looked okay. Think classic costume made with Burton materials.

It's not the acting that's a problem it's his face. Christopher Reeve, George Reeves, Dean Cain, Nicholas Cage.....one of these things does not belong.

As for his acting.....I've never understood the appeal.

Acting wise I'd be honored to have someone of nic cage's range playing superman but his looks is what makes me laugh at the very idea. Nic cage is the Sarah Jessica Parker of blokes. They both look like a horse had sex with a dirty fungus infested foot.he just isn't superman in any real way.

Cage is a great actor...but I agree, I would have had a headache leaving the theater from squinting to try to see Superman in there.

No doubt it would have been interesting...

I didn't realize until now that the mesh on the BvS suit is atually slightly bigger and thinner :

Please do not compare colours (different light settings obviously, and I modified them to appear clearer) and the muscles definition since the body angle is not quite the same in both pictures.

What is that? Is it on a lap top or did you draw it? It looks like computer gadgets around it, but it pops so much that i thought it was just a magnet stuck to the scrern to take a pictute.
Either way it looks great, I want to buy one.

Hmmm, so they wove some Kryptonian into the curves of the musculature as well. Interesting.

Those are both great observations. I think the general suit and design is the same but practically every detail has been changed or altered. To the untrained eye it might seem like pretty much the same suit but to the trained eye, the suit is different in many ways.
