This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]380517[/split]
but thrusters can be used for hovering
.......SuperestHero said:Why did you post a comment in the picture thread? It's so annoying to go in there thinking its been legitimately updated only to read a stupid comment. No discussion is written in capitals too.
That smiley in there is just as irritating. I just don't get why these things are done, it's beyond stupidity...
Me too, until we saw the propellers. Very odd design, but interesting without a doubt.and the ones in the front?
i came up with this a while ago before we knew it had propellers , this is how i thought it hovered

I made this post a while back...
TDK (GCN extras) The reporter mentioned that Wayne Enterprise over the last few months had developed and or acquired technologies emanating from abandoned Aerospace & Military programs. Programs that have produced Specialized Fabrics, Electromagnetic Gyroscopic Navigational Systems, Hemostatic Powders, Hi-Tech Plastics, Radiation Stamping Technology & Rotor Blades made of metal composites that have a low radar signature and Special Acoustic design. The reporter also asks the question of what is the practical use for Wayne to invest in Stealth Rotor Blades? To which the reply was "What some consider niche or off the wall technology.. we view as doors to the future. And our stride through those doors will strengthen this company and the community around it"
I find that stuff even more interesting now, knowing what we know.
I always assumed "The Bat"'s functions are similar to an actual bat's; the wings provide flight while the body provides balance and stability. Applying that to a jet/hover combo and you get "The Bat". It's wings propel it into flight, and the "arms" (representing a bat's legs,) grants the vehicle and allows it to hover, mirroring a standing/walking bat.
The forward propulsion seems to come mainly from turbines/jets with the lift coming from the rotors. It certainly doesn't look like a body designed for aerodynamic lift with large wing-areas. Body-wise, it does look more like a mechanical aquatic arthropod, but the dark, angular and aggressive motif is quite bat-like...so I think the name is fitting enough.
Makes moress ense to have this kind of vehicle flying low through the streets than trying to fly an actual plane or helicopter.
Dear God ....
All those pointless speculations lol
Patience ....
Soon
Huh! I guess I assumed the back piece(s) would unfold out a bit more than we've seen to fly above rooftops if need be. I just don't see much of an advantage of having a low-hovering vehicle that only hovers a bit above the streets. More mobility and scope, I suppose.
Weren't there spy pics of that Bat higher in the sky than just a few feet above the floor, like i mean roof top high? Matter of fact isn't the Bat docked on a roof top in one of the set pics? We def haven't seen anything yet I'm sure...
Yeah, as a quick-strike vehicle even in military use, really long range isn't the biggest concern.A couple a thousand feet high and a few miles is it all it needs to do in Gotham lol
And a pointless post about pointless speculation is much better? No. Unless you have something to contribute, don't post in here. The end.
Oh yeah it can probably get up there...but the key is that it's probably more maneuverable closer to ground than an attack helicopter without as much elbow room needed for helicopter rotors.

Heck, out current tanks guzzle gas like crazy.
You'd think someone out there...not just an accountant who finds the documents...would put two and two together with Batman employing the vehicles he does.
Maybe they will in this next movie.
After what happened to Reese I doubt anyone would want to expose Batman. Course, he's now a wanted murder suspect but I think he'll be too far underground. Besides, there's a chance his identity will be revealed anyway...
