The Nokia trailer debuted online, and therefore did not require a MPAA rating.

If the Nokia trailer is going to be attached with Spider-Man, then it would have to be rated by the MPAA in order for it to play in theaters.

What I do find interesting is that the Nokia trailer is 2:16, whereas this trailer #4 clocks in at 2:31. That's an addition of 15 seconds, which sounds unusually long if they were simply taking the trailer and adding the MPAA certificate to it.

It's not 2:31, it's 2:13. And there is some static black at the beginning of the Nokia trailer, so I suspect it's that one.

1. I think Bruce's injury has to do with the drop at the end of TDK. But more importantly, it's got the entire "the symbol is broken" idea that Bruce is struggling with. If anything, Bruce with a cane seems to be pre-Bane rather than post-Bane. I'm thinking that maybe by the time Bruce falls into the Pit (Lazarus/Well whatever) he's already convinced that he needs to return as Batman. He's overcome his physical injuries and has to go along with the mental remodelling. It. Makes. Too much archetypal sense to be anything otherwise. That whole "rebirth in the cave" as an initiation rite...

2. Ra's in the past? Bane's origin? Flashback?

3. I guess he'll be your random NML region leader. That's the way I see it at least. If we get a shot of Crane smiling at the screen seeing Batman returning, while being in Arkham, ala The Joker from DKR -- I'll probably bore my friends silly explaining the significance of that cameo when we watch teh movie.
