Yeah but those were already constructed.

We don't know if this "bomb" is or not. Presumably Bane makes Pavel build it, or he already has and that's why Bane takes him.
I dont think the time to build that bomb really matters, though. It could already exist for a different intent for who knows how long before Bane gets a hold of it.

I just don't see Bruce Wayne being gone another eight years after BB...doesn't seem like something Nolan would do at all.

Why not? What about that seems un-Nolan?

maybe this is apart of bringing full circle.

Plus I don't think he's gone. I think he's in Wayne Manor, pondering Batman stuff. A recluse, uninterested in society...the people think he's missing but he's really hold up in his house.

The same as Willard White in Diamonds Are Forever who was based off of Howard Hughes.

Two points of interest for Nolan.

And him being injured when he comes back and walking with a cane...

I never said it would go unexplained.

first, Nolan would definitely explain that and how did he get injured then? Don't tell me something as simple as "he is getting old", "he slipped". It just isn't compelling enough. And where is he? Unless Nolan shot hordes of footage that we don't know about, I don't see that happening. [/quote]

I explained above where he is.

Secondly this is no different than "There were copycats again Alfred"

Do we need to have a flashback to show the first time he encountered Citizens for Batman? No.

Master Wayne this time you've gone too far, You cannot continue to run around Gotham in this state

What other choice do I have Alfred, it must be done

The last time you did, you came back nearly a bloody cripple...when is this crusade enough? When is it over?!

There, in a 20 second conversation we've explained he got the injury doing work as Batman.

Then, healing in 3 months while in a detainment cell and probably being beaten by Bane (from the trailer) doesn't make sense at all. I can understand his leg getting better, but not while he is getting roughed up by Bane the whole time.

Where are you getting that Bane continually beats him up? There's NO proof of that
He walks perfectly fine out of the cell in the trailer, that's enough for me to say that his leg has already healed when Bane nabs him.

OR that he's been in there for so long that he's healed from time just sitting around and thinking (and maybe training himself)

I only bring it up because if it takes years to develop and build, perhaps the prologue is not 8 years after TDK. That is the extent of my "caring" on the subject. "Dr. Pavel refused our offer in favor of yours." Assuming nuclear physicist Pavel is instrumental in its creation (the IEEE symposium detail is blacked out.) I guess that's probably his research pertaining to the what becomes this device, which is another assumption here that any of that viral stuff matters.

anyone subscribed to the Yoda theory? Just using the cane to throw people's suspicions off on just how badass he is?

Whether the prologue takes place 4 or 8 years after TDK...the main story apparently start 8 yrs after. And it could have already have been built after decades of research and development, awaiting final touches or what have you that require a physicist. Basically, I doubt that this would be designed, tested, and made from scratch between the time of the prologue and the start of the plot. A lot of it will probably already exist for some other purpose...like the microwave emitter in BB.

Yoda's cane wasn't a gimmick!

And he's been evading the idea that he's Batman for years. I don't see why he'd need a cane to do that...or why he'd be using one at home

I brought up as sort of a joke tat it's a ruse for the sake of misdirection....but it's kind of a stretch.

I always thought Yoda actually needed a cane unless he was using the Force. That he considered using the Force for his own personal comfort was an abuse of it. A disrespect of it.

The gimmer stick helps Yoda stay in tune with the Force but also helps him walk.

To aide his walking with the force would take concentration 24/7 when it could be used for something more...worthy

Bruce's cane is actually one of his next Bat-vehicles....

could it be antimatter related

i've kind of made up in my mind that it's a portable nuclear reactor than can detonate the force of a nuke to generate energy but contains the blast within itself.

However the force of the explosion is still expelled outwards and does a significant amount of damage without the nuclear fallout.

I figure that Bruce's injury in TDK may just be some kind of recurring weakness. So while he's taken care of it the last eight years, it might be the first part of his body he ices and he might occasionally tweak it. Then Bane, either diagnosing Bruce's weakness himself or using intelligence from someone else, repeatedly targets his knee during their fights, being very "clinical" about it.

Maybe you can trace how Bruce is doing in the movie by how he acts with his limp. At the start, maybe he doesn't use a cane at all, we just see him treating his knee carefully. Then he and Bane fight for the first time, so Bruce starts using a cane as Bruce Wayne, since a billionaire playboy can do that without having people bat an eye. Then Bane destroys his leg in their second fight while breaking him, and when Batman returns, he's got a brace on under the suit and limps, like we saw him in that leaked video with Catwoman.

Gorilla, where you getting your info and theories from? Please provide links.

TDK cowl actually looks a lot like that Lego cowl.

I think Keaton's cowl looks a lot like it....at least the fit does.
