I look over at Magneto and hes' just standing there staring up at Apocalypse and Jean. I notice that Ali has fell asleep on my chest, I lay Ali down on th ground and get to my feet. I tear away a piece of my suit and make a makeshift cast so my arm isnt just dangleing there, I scan the battleground and see Logan not far away staring up at Apocalypse and Jean aswell. I fly over to him and grab him by the shoulder.

"Logan you heard what Jean said, we have to get those rings away from Magneto and give them to the other heroes, we have to fight Apocalypse as one if we don't we're dead!"

He doesnt say anything, he just keeps stareing up at Jean and Apoc. Anger and frustration takes over and I haul of and punch Logan square in the jaw.

"God damn it Logan, we don't have time for you to wuss out on us now! We need your help!"

Storm let out a strangled groan as her eyes fluttered open. Her entire bdoy was gripped with pain and a dull ache. She tried to pull herself upwards, but her muscles were locked in place. Around her, the harsh voice of Apocalypse barked threatening obscenities at her still-fighting allies.

"All I need..." she stuttered, her voice faltering, "is a boost...a small...boost..."

Once again, the never-ending void of blackness threatened to envelop her entirely...before a lightning bolt flashed wonwards and struck her limp body, filling her with energy. She hauled herself to her feet groggily and balled her hands into fists.

The Green Goblin got up from the ground and look at his surrounding. Spider-Man on the ground, the red being slammed on the wall, and the woman on the right in front of her...the Invisble Woman.

I yank the tenticle and trip the Goblin. I shoot another tenitle around the Invisible Woman's waist and get her out of the Goblin's hands.

Magneto greatly disliked the idea of sharing his power with anyone...but he knew the Phoenix was right. If he didn't give up some of the rings, they would never be able to stop Apocalypse.

Magneto sighed, and then levitated 5 rings of his hands. The first ring floated infront of Charles Xavier, it was the Mento-intensifier ring which amplified mental energy.

The second ring levitated infront of Storm. It was the Electro-blast ring that would greatly enhance her ability to wield thunder and lightning.

The third ring was the White-light ring, which could emit laser like beams of energy...he gave this ring to the feather winged Angel.

The fourth ring levitated infront of Colossus, it was the Flame-blast ring that could create flamethrowers and pillars of flame.

Last but not least, he slowly levitated the Vortex ring infront of Wolverine. The Vortex-ring had the power to control the wind which granted it's user the ability to fly.

Magneto clenched his fist, feeling the last 5 rings on his remaining hand while the heroes reached out and grabbed the rings that levitated before them. Magneto levitated himself in the air above the heroes. If Phoenix really was all-powerful like she said, then this plan better work.

With the nuissance of Apocalypse gone forever, Magneto could finally concentrate on more important matters...like taking the world for his own. He looked down and saw the heroes putting on their rings

"Enjoy them human-lovers, you will not have them for long" Magneto thought to himself...he should be more concerned about Apocalypse...but he was concerned about the rings he had to give away...he wanted them back...it was almost like they had a hold over him...gnawing at his every thought, and influencing his every action.

"IT IS TIME FOR US TO STOP APOCALYPSE ONCE AND FOR ALL MY BROTHERS!" Magneto shouted down at the mutants.

I reach out and take the ring that was levitating before me and slowly slide onto onto my finger. A warm feeling starts to spread from the ring down my arm and than throuhout my body. I ball my hands into fists and aim them at a large piece of concrete, a beam of white light shoots out of both hands and disentigrates the piece of concrete in seconds.

"IT IS TIME FOR US TO STOP APOCALYPSE ONCE AND FOR ALL MY BROTHERS!"

I open my wings and fly up beside Magneto.

She had been distracted by a loud noise behind her, and she almost got killed. This Spidey kid was like 15 yrs old, and head to save her. Johnny would never let her live this down if he heard, and Reed would laugh his head off before comforting her.

"Jeanie......I.....What happened?"

"Shhhhhhhh, it alright James. I'm here now. Just relax."

What? What did she call me? Its like......like my dreams.....like the name Ali called me! But how?.......

"Its ok, you don't have to be afraid. You can trust me, of all people you can trust ME."

She places her hands on my head, and I feel calm......and.....clear. Images start rushin through my head, places I aint never been to, things I aint never seen, but then I realize..................yes I have. I......I'm........I'm remembering.........my LIFE! Now the dreams start makin sence, the girl in my dream, the one by the lake, I wasn't imagining it. It was HER! It was Jean..........it was ROSE!

"ROSE!"

Her voice changes slightly, a little more reckognizable, even Irish sounding.

"Yes James, it's me. It's always been me. I never left James, no matter how many times I died, I always came back for you my love. It was the Pheonix that made it possible. You see as long as your alive, my soul will follow you. I may not remember who I am in my mind, but my SOUL always remembers. Now matter what happens I will always love you James."

For the first time in a long time, things are clear. My mind it as rest, and I feel........happy. She looks at me with her deep emerald eyes, and before ya know it......well.......lets just say I'm the happiest man in the battle of Amegedon!

She kisses so passionatly, a fire I aint ever felt before. Slowly she stops, pulls back gently, and says calmly,

"Now is the time James. Take it, take it and save our world."

The ring lowered itself in front of me, I held out a trembeling hand as it landed in the midle of my palm. I slide the ring on my finger, and some strange energy starts flowing through my body, somethin....somethin POWERFULL! Jean grabs me by the neck and kisses me again, when I open my eyes Im......well.......I'm FLYIN! As her lips removes themselves from mine, I feel even more energy flowing through me, thats when I realize that my body is now covered with that same glowing red flame as her, some how I know that its called "The Pheonix Force", and I feel better than I ever have.

"James, Logan, I love you."

She turns from me and looks towards the others.

"Now hear me! In order to defeat this monster, you must be pure! He will feed of of your anger and hate! Do not let those emotions rule you! You are all honerable and nobely intended at heart, but some of you have convinced yourselves other wise. We all have in us the ability to do WONDERFUL or TERRIBLE things, but today is where you decide. If you can chanel into that more noble side, than you can save this planet! But without it........I feel we will all be doomed. Through this nobility I can enhance you powers to a point unimaginable! BUT! You must be pure, and true! I ask you now, not as humans or mutants, or differnt sides of war, but as MEN and Women, as People! Will you stand with me? Will you see this tyrant fall?.......Are you ready.........To become HEROES!"
