My favorite Luthor but was actually the senate hearing. Senator Finch seeing the tea, and connecting the dots right before the explosion was pretty cool. Also lex just let Mercy die like that, pretty cold.

That made me so mad. I thought he was framing Superman to look like he killed everybody and then immediately they were like on the news going "nope. Wheelchair bomb."

It would have been so genius to have it look like Superman killed them all and a perfect setup for Batman to be like "alright mofo. Time for you to go."

I have to say - my disappointment with the movie aside - the fight is amazing.

I loved the fights. Just not necessarily how they get resolved or some of the story leading up to them.

The action delivers. This is a Trinity VS Doomsday battle that will make the most anti-CG Porn person (me) be blown away.

Action delivers. I promise that.

Thanks. In fairness with Snyder action was the last of worries.

I just thought personally it was too soon to use Doomsday and once I found out they were I was hoping for more than a throwaway role. The character actually has quite a sense origin in the comics and its a shame to see that wasted.

I just feel someone like Bizarro or Metallo would have been better in the role. Doomsday being used is a waste for me personally.

It won't ruin the movie or anything for me, but at least now I know what to expect.

Also IMO Batman action sequences where the best in the movie.
-batman beating/torturing the sex slave ringleader
-Batmobile vs Lex's goons at the docks
-and that batman warehouse scene teased in final trailer

I couldn't tell you if I tried. Somehow lex is able to hack the crashed zod ship and the ship tells him all this off screen information about everything krypton and then he baptizes zods body in murky water and cuts his hand to bleed on Zods face and the ship warns him it is against krypto law to make an abomination and then he orders it to do it anyway and then voiula - doomsday is just made by the ship.

doomsy is in a good enough chunk of the final fight to justify his presence but nothing more than that.

Not coming back as far as I can tell.

I thought that guy sliding across the pavement in the 2nd trailer looked familiar. DC/Marvel crossover confirmed!

Heh... Bizzaro.... wouldn't it be funny if they showed you something that would look like him in the movie..... oh wait.......

:D

Kind of? When the helmet opens up there isn't a flash mask on his face. Just... regular face.

- Jow

False, there was a Flash-esque mask on his face when the helmet opened up.

Yeah I remember a rumor that said Lex some kind of device that made Superman's powers go haywire. A kryptonian signal jammer, superman lost control of heat vision, and had to leave to avoid hurting people by accident, but everyone else interpreted it as superman disrespecting the government.

wait, so I'm getting differing opinions about the knightmare. Is it supposed to be a future with Supes turning evil due to Ma dying, and Bats stops it...or is a different future that still needs to be avoided, like Supes turning bad cause Lois dies?

Someone tell me: what's the verdict?

It may have been discussed already, but was I the only one who didn't see any reference to GL or Hal? I didn't even see Dan Amboyer or hear someone say 'Highball'.

Carrie Ferris does return for a scene though

No references as far as I saw... and I was looking for that particular one.

Hello everyone, I thought the computer mention something about the real Doomsday? Also do you think they are going to try to go evil Superman route (Dictator)?

False, there was a Flash-esque mask on his face when the helmet opened up.

You sure? I don'r remember that. I remember his hair and clearly seeing his face when the helmet lifted? Granted all the lighting flashes and portal stuff was making it difficult to see and it all happened so sudden / fast i was more stoked about flash than paying full attention to it, so I may be wrong. But I was 99% sure he didn't have a flash mask on. I specifically remember seeing ezra millers black hair getting all windy and stuff.

Yeah, I don't think so. You see his hair in he camera footage later.

So... I loved the scenes in the film. But it felt like Snyder cut out at least an hour's worth of footage. The first hour moved from scene to scene, but almost every scene felt like it was missing some introductory dialogue as well as narrative connections to the scenes that came before and after. The titular fight was definitely way too short (felt like a mere 5 minutes), and there were some questionable editing choices. The music seemed too limited and rare: in the first hour there were large stretches where music could have better sold the scene. I seriously felt that the film needed at least another hour to really flesh out what is a good story with superb acting and directing.

I need to see it again.

Reading through the posts, there doesn't seem to be a consensus.

I'm intrigued at the idea it's Lois and it's harkening back to Injustice though...

"The nolan movies were good but not good batman movies!" "Affleck is the most comic accurate batman ever!" "He kills? Well, he killed in the nolan movies too!"

Round and round we go.

Didn't anyone else see Future Flash as a black guy? I'm pretty sure I fainted for second or something, because I could've sworn it was a black Flash.

Why are people so upset that Batman kills? Keaton's Batman kills in the Axis Chemicals Factory scene and killed Joker. It's not a big deal.

Because for a lot of people, Batman not killing is one of the most important and defining things about him. Just because you are fine with it and do not consider it to be a big deal, does not mean that it isn't a valid concern for other people. Lots of people had a problem with that in B89 too.

Lol idk about run, but he does a lot of avoiding and dodging Doomsday lol.

- Jow

Lol with the hook shot right? I'm still trying to picture what Bats will do during the fight. Any details would be greatly appreciated.

I have no idea, which probably isn't a good thing considering I watched the movie. I think that stuff is gonna hurt big time with the critics.

How is Batman acrobatically in this movie? He looks way too buff to be agile, my only concern with his appearance.

For people who haven't seen the movie, just wait until you see the things he does to see why him killing is a big deal. It's not similar to the Burton or Nolan movies at all...he straight up shoots people with machine guns. It's very jarring.
