Yeah, they really are putting themselves into a tight spot.

I guess Box Office Z, from Box Office Theory Forums, really was full of ****.

I think we should start a list of posters from other forums who have been known to troll people with these types of posts so that way we don't fall for them the next time.lol

But yeah, I may end up loving the execution, but I don't believe this was the right timing. You don't do a death and return arc for Superman before assembling the JL and having him lose to Batman.

Good thing I didn't believe Box Office Z or whatever his name was or any troll from Reddit or 4chan.

If I want to see Batman beat Superman or Superman dying, I will watch the animated movies.

I will bet you someone out there will try to post footage from the screenings on YouTube.

Regardless one fanbase is happy and one fanbase is not, so they have failed here. I can imagine the reaction here in America next week.

Lois showing up to the fight seems kind of a nice idea for me. I mean, Lois has always been one of the few superhero love interests that actually throws herself into danger. It's why Clark respected her to begin with and makes her more interesting than most others. She's willing to defend the guy she loves. THAT is why they're together. He's not getting saved by Lois.

Honestly I more feel like Lois intervening stops them from killing eachother. Batman could fire the Kryptonite spear, but Superman still is capable of killing Doomsday when affected by it. When pushed to the limit, a superhero goes berserk and does ANYTHING to save a loved one. Look at Spider-Man in the comics when he's angry.

Batman had to get rescued by Catwoman in TDKR and the way they did that wasn't even a payoff emotionally or thrill wise, and it certainly didn't make Batman look like a *****.

So real quick question... Not attacking anyone but genuinely curious... Why is everyone instantly believing this one guy that quickly chimed in that it was legit...?

Astorgh was at the premiere, as proven in his Instagram pics. Whether he's under NDA or embargo in his claims I have no idea, so judge as you see fit.

Well I guess I'll have to wait and see.

And if you guys thought that I was a wreck for the last few days, you should see on how my female friend responded.lol

She's now worried and fearing that Lois is going to move on with her life, via SR style, during Clark's time away and by the time he comes back in JL, she'll no longer be available for him.lol

She and I can start the #SaveClois campaign :woot:

So, theories time guys:

1. How would you think they explain Supes' return? Will he be just alive and kicking in JL or will there be a plot/subplot centered around it?
2. Would we get any more reporter/civilian! Clark in the future?
3. With Batsy confirmed doing a killing, how would this play with the existence/state of his rogues in Suicide Squad and in future story lines? (SS is confirmed to set after the events of BvS)
4. How would JL members' way of inclusion here in BvS factor in their development in JL/solo movies?

Speculate away, mah bruv!

Post-credit scene confirmed??

Batman this, Superman that. Dudes, calm down. They fought in comics, they fight now. We get amateur Superman (he's on his way to be prime), we get experienced Batman, that's his advantage. Fight is descriped to be evened.
Let them punch one another and FINALLY be World Finest duo on the screen!!!!
I want them get passed this fight, HIGH FIVE each other and kick some evil butts together!

If anything, i see Superman fans being the ones to be split on this...yet again.lol

Some (as we've seen here) are all for it. Others (again, as we've seen here) are not.

And that's just regarding the "death".

Superman may have almost the same amount of screen time as Batman and he may be the one to deliver the killing blow to Doomsday, but based on Pale's post, it seems like Batman is the more favored protagonist based on his arc and how he makes a huge transition from hating Superman to respecting him and starting the Justice League.

Before Catwoman saved Batman in TDKR, we had already seen Batman beating Bane in a fight. The only reason why Batman needed saving was because he was sucker gutted by Talia.

Different story here. Although Superman inflicts some damages on Batman's suit, Batman is seemingly the clear winner and is only stopped by Lois. That makes Superman look pretty bad.

Well, at least this makes sense of why Amy will be in JL since I'm sure they're going to want to have the reunion scene between them in that film.

This sounds FREAKIN AWESOME. As a Superman fan, I wasn't upset about rumors of Superman's death. I just wanted Superman to not get shown up by Batman. I'm good with this and can't wait until I see it this Friday.

Eh, umm, hmm....
It's hard to explain my feelings on this. Mainly because this was something I didn't want happening at all, because of how they would conclude it and use it as a cliffhanger for JL, instead of having the movie(s) being stand alone enough. It's also something I hate in movies: Spider-Man 2, X2, TDK, all had these types of endings, and I hated them because...well, with some exceptions to TDKR; Spidey 3, X3, do I have to explain the list?! I didn't have a problem with Doomsday, I just didn't think they would ultimately use him in the way he's known for. I would've preferred a solo Superman film that used the death/return, kinda like Superman Lives. And instead of killing him off, I would've wanted them to have Superman dead for a moment, and have the rumors of Kevin Costner and Russell Crowe coming back to be true so they can speak to their son in the after life, before he comes back to life. Again, in the same movie.

Maybe I need to see it, but I doubt it'll change my feelings. Also, I guess it's based on the "anything could happen" fear, which in turn, you could apply that to the movies I listed above with these types of endings. Yes, they are filming JL in two weeks, but anything can happen within those two weeks. Also, with this ending, what in the hell could JL be about, from the story to the villain?

P.S. Heartbeat in the grave...hmm, wonder what comic I saw that from...

Either way, Batman will have one up on Superman in this universe and I doubt they'll make another film devoted into them fighting each other again.

And considering Superman's mixed response from MOS, Superman really needed this to be a win for him or a draw.

Just Lex in the post-credit scene?
Thanks for translating.

Guess the Hal Jordan post-credit mention is bull then. Yay for another debunked theory.

To bad Snyder couldn't have at least shown us Superman waking up or something instead of just showing the dirt on the ground of his grave moving around a little bit.

Do something more conclusive like how they did it for Bruce in TDKR (Rises and Returns).

I know some of you guys may hate Max Landis, but can you imagine his reaction next week?

Does Batman v Superman need a post-credit scene just because Marvel does it?

He said we gonna see Darkseid and Deesad in the post-credit scene.

Is it too early to start a "Issues/Criticisms for BvS" thread?lol

I wonder if the 30 mins extended footage in the R-Rated cut contains a more concrete ending. Maybe Supes raising himself from the ground?

Way too early. Be patient. You might actually like the thing. Sheesh.

I'm sure I'll probably like it as a film goer. But I just have so many issues with everything that we've heard about it.

Is it a crime to have issues with it? Are we not allowed to here? Relax, I'm not going to go all ape**** here like I did last time.

But you can't believe that people, namely superman fans, aren't going to have issues with this film based on what's been revealed.
