I just hope it isn't a case where, if Darkseid is the main villain for JL1, that it's revealed that Darkseid captured his body and brainswashed him, thus the JL having to fight against a mind controlled Superman.

Given STAS Legacy is probably my favourite Superman anything ever I'd actually be OK with that.

I'd be okay with it too...if it wasn't in a film about the formation of the JL.

Seriously, IF Superman dies in this film and is to be resurrected in JL...only to go through all of that as well, then he really has the WORST timing out of anyone that I know.

The more I think about the possibility that Superman can die in this film, the more it irritates the hell out of me.

One day I'll have to figure out on what's the secret that allows the normal users here to be so okay with the idea of Superman dying and just coming back (in whatever role) for JL. If I had that outlook on this, then I wouldn't even be here venting.haha

I bet you $10 and a bag of chips that Supes wont die.

I take cashier's check and money orders as well and my favorite chips are Doritos. I hope you have them both ready, just in case. :oldrazz::o

But in all honesty, IF I end up being wrong about all of this, I will personally apologize to everyone here and NEVER....EVER...go on a panic or venting mode here again.

Well I definitely look forward towards hearing your thoughts on it after you see the film.

I don't think my view of Superman's death and how it's handled will change though.

It's either Superman is shown to be alive to the audiences (something like the "Iron Giant") and nothing else.

I don't want to build any more false expectations with the DCEU.

The thing is...I think anyone with common sense, regardless if they're a comic book fan, will know that Superman is going to be in the JL.

You can probably bet that he'll be in the promotional material and everything. I really don't care for anything else. I don't want to see him just summoned up from the dead so that he can just get involved in the third act/final fight.

No thank you. That's not what I want nor need from my Superman. And I say this with complete honesty, I will not watch the DCEU again until Superman is used completely right in a JL/Solo film.

If you ask me they will probably leave a small hint at the end of the movie that he is still alive(preferably small enough to leave people guessing, creates more anticipation) and then spend part of the first act of JL bringing him back. So no harm no foul and would give enough time for superman to play a key role in the formation of the JL, which won't be a fully formed cohesive unit before the third act anyway(think Avengers). Any which way they choose to go about it though I think DC would not for a second let Superman be outshone by any other character. They would be shooting themselves in the foot if they did that. He is currently their second most popular character(arguably the most popular comic book character historically). Now if your concern is who will lead the JL and have a more prominent role, at this point it's anyone's guess. Judging from what we know so far batman being the older of the two would most likely be the guy who runs things from the watchtower so to speak(kind of like in Justice League Unliminted) but more than likely superman will be their moral compass and the heart of the group.

I heard Bats and Supes head off onto another adventure at the end of the movie.

Like a hollow grave :hehe:

Unless Superman was revived before the credits started rolling in BvS, then yeah, I wouldn't be able to enjoy it.

If this has been a solo Superman film, without having to place so much focus on Batman as well, along with the Justice League already formed (with Superman having been in a leadership role for the group) then I would actually be open to the idea of him "dying" in this film.

It's probably why I have no problems with the possibility that Steve Rogers may "die" at the end of "Civil War" like he did in the comics, only to be revived for Infinity War soon afterwards.

Well I do apologize if I'm bringing bad morale, though I was under the impression that nothing could faze some of the posters here. We've had some hardcore trolls come and go, with their posts and attitude being way worse than mine and that never really phased them.

Personally, I would rather get al of this frustration out right now then keep it bottled in.

Well if it helps, you're welcome to put me on your ignore list Broseph. Look, I've learned the hard way from other experiences that it's not really healthy to keep one's frustration bottled up inside so I'm just venting it all out right now.

Sure, I can admit right now that even I agree that I'm being a "Diva" right now...and it's only because I feel like I had the wrong expectations going into this film.

The only problem with your statement -
Superman isn't the leader of the League. League has no leader, period.

Seriously, it seems that some of you Super fans here are only familiar with the League in animated from (Even then, Superman wasn't leader). The league has no leader, every member is equally important.

dont you get it? Superman HAS to be Captain America!

Someone posted a detailed plot on Reddit 8 month ago.

Not sure how real it is but it sounds pretty legit

https://www.reddit.com/r/movies/comments/3c5kmi/potential_spoilers_a_detailed_plot_of_batman_v

I remember reading this a while ago. At least several plot points are used in other rumors. This can't be legit though. It doesn't really dig into much detail about Bats and Supes throwing 'bows, which is the central point of the movie. I see one thing that is way off about their run ins - Batman never escapes from Superman in the batmobile. Remember, Batman crashes it after hitting Superman and Superman rips the front panels right off of it.

Also, no mention of visions/knightmares, which is where we do first encounter The Flash. Regarding Luthor...doesn't he get caught in the end? And him manipulating Bats and Supes is never touched upon.

The thing is, most of the members of the JL are leadership material.

does anyone know if that 100 page batman v superman magazine had any pictures of aquaman? or any spoilers at all, for that matter.

This is a plot remember, it's an outline of what happens, not a detailed version of the events. Baring in mind it does state Doomsday which we didn't know was true or not until the 2nd trailer(4month ago).

Also, the fact about Batman asking Superman to kill him to see if he is truly 'good' and the fight being a test IS something Batman would defiantly do.

So what do people think about what Projectorman on IMDB said in regards to those evaluators. I know Chris Sylvia supposedly debunked him on Twitter, but Projectorman was spot on about ticket sales and the trailer description in the past.

I think the poster is giving away a lot of plot details, not just a plot outline. I'm not saying he didn't have any scoop, but some of this is way off, especially considering we have footage and interview info that conflicts with some of this.

And I don't think Batman would be testing Superman here. Remember that scene with Bruce and Alfred, and Bruce is providing his justification for taking Supes down? Bruce is angry...enraged actually. He doesn't want to test Supes...he wants to destroy him (which is what he actually says and what he actually tries to do).

I was reading about that last night as I was dozing off. The evaluators gave the movie a 'meh', right?

Yea, there were 7 of them and none of them voted the film over a 7. They're scores averaged a 5.5/10

If that's just an early draft, I'm in love. :ilv: No mention of Darkseid or the Knightmares but if it's even 50% like this I can't wait.

I think it may be from Goyer's original draft

I hope we get a small glimpse of Darkseid, or even hear his voice.
