Yeah, about the same for me. But I bought the One album, and I've gotten three other albums as birthday gifts under the assumption that 'Oh, I figured you loved the Beatles', and one a friend pretty much forced on me as 'Every Beatle fan should at least have the White album on their computer.'

So, yeah, I feel like something, somewhere is trying to tell me something here.

That's what you call peer pressure by assumption.

Well, the good thing about a new MP3 is that you can pick and choose what you want on there.

Always remember to dump that World music boos**t that comes pre-loaded on every MP3 ever produced though. :o

Well, it is kind of the point :o
But the people who were raving about him obviously liked that he was an immature, obnoxious prick. Otherwise they'd have been as irritated by it as I was and they would've quit reading it too. I could understand if it were something like The Boys, which also has juvenile humor and centers on unabashedly awful specimens of humanity, but Ennis is way better at creating an undercurrent of mesmerizing charisma in his characters. The best Kirkman could do was write O'Grady as a frat boy with powers, which is like charisma Kryptonite. :o

Well, if it makes you feel any better, the book sold like s**t.

I too only lasted about four issues before I dropped.

Of course once I've dropped a book I tend to never look back so, you know, I forgot it even existed. Like Next Wave. (OVERRATED B***HES!!!)

I didn't find Nextwave entertaining either, but I wasn't really pissed off by it until some idiot editor at Marvel decided to insert it into continuity. So now Machine Man is a one-note, human-hating robot cliché.

I loved Nextwave as an all-action all-comedy out of continuity piece of fluff. I got a good kick out of it, but it wasn't exactly one of the best comics of all time. Hell, is isn't even one of Ellis' best. But it was hilarious.

And then they shoved it into continuity. :csad:

It was whoever was supposed to be minding the Black Panther book that f**ked everything up. :o

Speaking of BP, so I know T'Challa is supposed to be pronounced just "Challa" but I refuse to read something with a silent T.

So read it as "TA Challa".

It's your brain. When I'm reading a comic, I take away everybody's pants in my head. :o

(In my minds eye, Power Girl isn't a natural blonde.)

Been reading FF since 74ish and I've never heard that silent T stuff. For real?

It's always been Ta challa in my head and when I've talked with my friends about it.

:ff: :ff: :ff:

Then you've been saying it wrong since 74ish. :o

That's ok. I said Rasslin for Raystlin for at least a decade.

Huh. Don't sound right. I'll stick with Tachalla.

:ff: :ff: :ff:

I've been reading T'Challa with a fairly soft T, like when I make a tsk sound or mimic the sound of drum cymbals.

How does everyone pronounce Namor? I've been saying it like Name-Or, but I've heard others say Namm-Or and Nah-More.

Those people are f**king idiots. It's "Neigh More"

Or have they done even more to **** on Nextwave?

And I always read it as TA' Challa. Didn't the Avengers animated film and the recent show do the same?

Well, it was more the fact that Monica showed up in her Next Wave uniform and hung around for a couple of storyarcs.

That's pointless. Why? Glad I never read it.
T'Challa I can see people being confused, but Namor? What's so hard to understand?

She-Hulk's comic established that the Monica from Nextwave was a doppelganger from Earth-Alpha.
