In the case of cheating on Halle Berry, the explanation is pretty simple: It's Halle Berry.
Seriously, in every interview with her that I've seen where she's just being herself, she annoys me quite a lot. She's the woman who thought that her version of Catwoman was empowering to woman, after all.

Haven't you guys seen When Harry Met Sally? Cheating is not what beaks up couples. It's a symptom that something else is wrong.

Pretty much....no one wants to take responsibility for ****ing up a relationship

Ugh, I remember that interview.... Ridiculous.

she probably still thinks that, at least Clooney apologized for 'Batman and Robin'

Yeah didn't Berry try to shift the blame to WB when she won her raspberry?

the fact that she showed up in person to get her Razzie almost excuses it, regardless of what she said

almost excuses it

As a Batman spoof, that movie is almost successful.

Clooney makes enough good non-comic movies that I've long since forgiven him for Batman and Robin. Schumacher's still on the hook for it, though. Maybe O'Donnell, too. :o

Anyway, I'm watching Roughnecks: The Starship Troopers Chronicles because it showed up to stream on Netflix. I used to watch it in its crazy early morning time slot when it was on TV and it actually holds up after all those years. If you can get past the fairly primitive (but still pretty good in some places) CG animation, it's a nice blend of the Starship Troopers movie and Heinlein's novel--by which I mean it took some character dynamics from the movie (i.e. Dizzy's a chick) and pretty much everything else from the novel, which was actually good. The propaganda bits are fun and the rest of the show is like a sci fi version of a WWII film.

Ive been watching those too, Corp and they are pretty decent....still love the film though

You are so uncool right now, Glu.
I've never been cool.
old Luke Perry show
Thank ya's.

I remember watching that the first time I came to America, before I saw the film, and was like, "Wtf?"

I thought the film was decent but a bit cheesy when I saw it. Then I read the book. Now I just can't really take the film seriously anymore. Still, it's got Neal Patrick Harris in it, so that counts for something.

But... you're not supposed to take the film seriously...

I guess. It's on Netflix too, so I think I'll actually watch it again. Maybe I'll appreciate it as its own thing again.

Hahah. On Jeremiah, they can't remember the name of Star Wars...

And yeah, taking the movie Starship Troopers seriously is a big mistake. As apparently, the director didn't even get thirty pages into the book before saying, "Screw it! I'll make my own movie!"

I'm not sure how that necessarily saves it from being a crappy adaptation. I mean, The Time Machine is the only adaptation I can think of that was less true to its source material off the top of my head.
It is up for instant viewing, or shipping?
Instant.
