With Hulk, no matter how good he looked you'd still be able to tell he was CG, because he doesn't look like a normal human. With characters like Gollum and even Jar Jar Binks, it's easier to forget that they're CG since they don't have to compete with a real-life counterpart. It's also like how a CG dinosaur from Jurassic Park is going to look more "real" than a CG shark. We all know what a real Shark is supposed to look like, and if the CG counterpart fails to live up to it it's going to look fake. Since no-one knows what a real Dinosaur or alien or ring-junkie looks like, it's easier for viewers to buy into the CG versions.

Sorry, can't agree with you there. When I first saw Jurassic Park, I was blown away by the texture of the hide of the dinosaurs, the attention to detail in their breathing. It was almost 3-D. I felt like I could reach out and touch them. Hulk looked like a cartoon hanging with real people(not as bad as "Who Framed Roger Rabbit", but you get the point).

hey now, Roger Rabbit was an AWESOME movie

hulk sucked so bad, that i laughed while i watched it, then i never saw it again...

Jurassic Park is the BEST dinosaur movie ever made
the second was good as well
third one sucked, thats because speilberg didn't direct it.
he's supposed to be doing the 4th is the latest i heard from a friend, i couldn't believe it.

oh yea, Spider-Man ROCKS!!!(just to get back on topic :D)

oh and sorry bout making that thread without looking around a little more carefully...im happy to see that your on the ball with making one venom thread Venom4life

Oh, don't be sorry. I made this thread awhile ago, because there was a time when venom threads were being spawned every two seconds. I guess this thread needed a bump sooner or later anyways, since more speculation is occuring.

venom in sm4. then maybe back for 7 (if the series goes that long) lol

Possible Eddie Brock glimpse tonight at 8 on that 70's show finale....keep an eye out

if he is indeed on tonight show then we will know our answer right away due to the fact that filming as already started

NRAMA: VENOM
Best suited for ongoing solo, limited series, or cast member?

JQ
: Cast member and maybe a limited some day.
Why it worked/didn’t work in the past:

JQ</B>: Venom was one of those crazy, over the top ideas of the early 90&#8217;s. He was the equivalent of big superhero shoulder pads and guns but in the viscous shape of the symbiote.

What it would need to work today?

JQ
: Definitely a product of his time, I think Venom is a bit over played and over done and needs some rethinking. It&#8217;s interesting that you bring him up because we just got out of a meeting in which we discussed Venom at length. With Venom being one of the stars of the Spidey movie, we have some interesting ideas for him that may just make people take some notice.

Odds of seeing a new starring project in the next 2 years: JQ</B>: 20%

im almost more pumped to see what marvel does with him in the future then what hes gonna be like in the movie

off-topic but spielberg is adamantly not going to direct JP4-although he insists this is the best concept hes ever had and wishes that JP4 was in fact the third one.....I preferred JP3 to lost world *which had very little to do with the actual novel and was rally boring and silly*

back on topic.... will venom eat tasty brains in this movie? *thats not slang for teabagging btw* hehe I think eating brains is a little silly in the context of the spidey movies, although I think raimi could really handle the 50s schlock horror aspect of it really well...........

Personally I prefer the "Hulkified" version of Venom.

That is a NIIIIIICE Venom statue. Can anyone tell me who its made by or where I could get one???

That is basically how Venom looks. Proportion wise it's about acurate, it's just that Venom is more cut and ripped in this statue.

I think there is just too much evidence to deny that Venom is going to be in it.

He is going to be in it, get over it.

To soon?

No, it's not too soon.

However, cramming him in with two other villains, is wrong. But that looks like we're going to have to get used to it.

I pointed this out somewhere else, but Venom appeared in the 90s toon BEFORE the Green Goblin/Norman/Harry arcs. It's not too soon, but as many have pointed out, it doesn't make much sense to cram him into a storyline that will feature Sandman as the main villain and feature the completion of a very delicious arc in Harry/Goblin.

For me, getting Venom in this film is like eating a pound cake when you know you aren't even hungry anymore. It's not needed.

I don't know about you. But I'd be really pissed off if a very popular thread I started got closed because of 1 or 2 immature posters.

Why the hell should EVERYONE pay for a couple of idiots' mistakes?!

You're slapping evryone one in the face Morg, each time you close a thread that does not need to be closed. This forum isn't visited by 10 yr olds alone.

im saying its too soon in that they plan on more spidey movies... why put the top 3 villains in spideys rogues gallery in the first 3 movies? each villain should be harder and harder to beat... whats next after venom? electro? kraven? personally the only other villains i think could carry another spidey movie is scorpion, lizard and hobgoblin. but i think them holding off on venom would have been smarter.. esp if they panned eddies transformation out... that would leave the venom fans coming back movie after movie rather then getting there fill in one

I know Sony wants more movies, but if they are giving us Venom/Sandman/Harry's arc in SM3, does anybody actually believe we'll be immediately getting an SM4? I have my doubts. I don't see this current series going past SM3.

Spideyboy_1111, do you think that maybe you could ask your insider buddy to draw a picture of the costumes that he's seen. No matter how crude the drawings maybe, it will at least give us some real understanding of what Venom and GG2 will look like.

SM3- Introduce Venom
SM4- Spidey vs. Venom
SM5- Spidey vs. Lizard/Kraven
SM6- Spidey vs. Venom vs. Carnage

This is the way I see it.

Do you think that Spidey will shoot webs or will they come from the black costume?
