Rick in the books only has one arm, right? This Rick also led the onslaught on the outpost and massacred Negan's troops, did he do that in the book? As for Maggie, I've thought since the season premiere that she is the one that needs to kill Negan.

I don't think he was doing that Reek, he was just saying it could be a woman in relation to the community of women we met in the Tara ep.

In the comic, Rick and company eliminate very small groups of Saviors, but never the extent that we saw on the show at the outpost. In the comic, it's just small skirmishes on the road during random encounters. And as far as I can remember, most, if not all, of the Saviors were situated at the Sanctuary. I can't recall if they had several locations.

I do remember them having Outposts during All Out War, which is why the different communities split up and fought on multiple fronts.

According to the the Season 7 comic con trailer (back in July) there was suppose to be a car chase (@2:02-2:05). So either it was cut or it's taking place during 7b. The comic con trailer also showed Dwight (alongside Arat) shooting at someone/something (@2:07-2:08). And @2:31 we see what I think might be Negan's truck running over a another car.

It's odd that if those specific moments are from 7b b/c previous TWD comic con trailers didn't contain any footage from the 2nd half of those season. And that's b/c they hadn't started filming the remaining eight eps yet. This could also mean they were filming episodes out of sequence.

Season 4 had many episodes where Rick was completely absent. Ditto with Carol, after Rick kicked her out of the prison she wasn't seen again until the latter half of season 4 part 2. Season 5 and 6 continued the trend of doing episodes where Rick didn't factor into the episode story at all.

So your outrage at season 7 doing something the show has been doing for the last three seasons is almost as amusing as your huffing and puffing over Negan.

It's one thing to have the odd episode here or there, but this is the start of the season, and Rick really hasn't even done anything. And this early in the season, he absolutely should have. Of course, past season didn't drag nearly as much as this one has. At least this show is trending in the right direction, but come on, it took eight episodes for us to get to this point?

I agree it shouldnt take 8 episodes to tell this slow as story, especially with the Tara episode actually existing... but to say Rick hasn't done anything is silly... there's not much for him to do really except for what negan wants him to do... its the same in the comics, rick is completely broken for a while until the communities unite (the finale)...

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but post-negan, jack s*** happens for a long time... theres even a time jump where nothing happened... so i am going to assume there will be a small small time jump, and a lot of filler once the all out war arc ends.

I mean, we get the [blackout]time jump[/blackout], we get the [blackout]society that has been formed by the four communities[/blackout], Negan plotting, Gregory trying to stir up dissent at the Hilltop, the new group introduced into Alexandria, and a good deal of teasing up to the Whisperers.

It's more of a shift in status quo than the promise of face-melting intensity that was this season (or at least, what this season was presented as).

well all that is going to be considered filler to a lot of people, that's why i said it that way. it will be pretty annoying having a whole half season of straight peace beforethe whisperers come, but that's definitely a way to milk a season as we know they love to do.

I'm not sure what show that you're watching. JDM has nailed Negan's personality from the comics. What more can be asked of him?

Yeah, the hoarseness in Negan's voice made that much funnier. And not really sure where all this hate from Negan is coming from when he's pretty much walked right out of the comic.

It may not mean doom for Sasha, we might just see less of her. However if she does die it'll be less surprising. But Corey Hawkins is the lead on the new 24 show and Heath is still alive, even though he's only been in like 3 of the last 16 episodes. Also, The Walking Dead season 8 won't start filming for at least another 5 or 6 months so she could be able to balance both in her schedule.
