The Walking Dead The Walking Dead Season 5, Episode 13 "Forget" Discussion Thread

Way out of character for him to even consider shooting a man just because he's married to the woman he's got the hots for.

But you're jumping to the conclusion just based off him absent mindedly touching his gun. I'm not sure that necessarily means he wants to kill her husband. You'll note that he could have touched the gun that was in his holster, but instead he touched the concealed one. The gun in his holster is for show, part of the uniform of being constable. I think it represents the Rick he presents to the town. The gun in his waistband represents the real Rick, or at least, the Rick he's become. Could it be that, having kissed Jessie, he senses that he might need to defend himself against this man in the future?

Carol was a cold blood gangster.

Abraham loves beer!

I don't really care about Sasha's meltdown. I think she is going to get killed soon as she seems to be developing a death wish and becoming increasingly reckless.

Slick Rick after that booty.
Kevin Smith has a sparkly forehead today.

Kevin smith always sweats like crazy on these live TV discussions.

man I thought it sure was crappy of Carol to threaten that little boy

Have they shown Morgan at all during this second half of the season? When will he be coming back? Hopefully in time of the season finale.
No, which makes him randomly popping up for a few seconds in the premiere quite stupid

I read the comics, but this Rick and Jessie thing seems out of character him. Especially the Shane 2.0 ending of the episode. Wat.

lol...I told you guys Rick was always an a-hole. Seems in character to me

Loved this episode. Carol had the best scene in it. I was shocked lol. Daryl and Aaron's scenes were really great, too. I felt bad for Sasha. After losing her brother and her bf in a short space of time it's not a surprise she's having a breakdown.

Yeah, I look at that moment as a gut reaction based on all the **** he's dealt with. He's lost so many people and hopes he's cared about and he's extremely protective of what he has. Now suddenly he finds himself having feelings for someone and that protection carries over. The husband has already come across as a dick, but now Rick sees him (subconsciously) as a threat. Never mind the fact that he's still very suspicious of everyone. It was a gut reaction of an emotionally exhausted/broken man. It's not something to just dismiss however; it WAS a screwed up moment, but it shows that he's definitely not the same person he once was, whether he's walking around playing sheriff or not.

Yeah, he's pretty much Shane 2.0 post-prison.

Way out of character for him to even consider shooting a man just because he's married to the woman he's got the hots for. Rick only ever killed people who endangered his or his friends' and families' lives.

Shane would be proud of the Rick at the end of the episode.

Agreed. That moment made me uncomfortable. And has me a bit concerned with where the writers are taking Rick. I don’t want him becoming like Shane.

I understand why Carol did what she did to that boy from a character perspective but I felt like there were more reasonable, surefire ways to keep that kid from talking. Like just bribing him or convincing him it wasn't what it seemed. Terrifying him with a story like that would, in my mind, make him go to his mother more.

She did try bribing him though. He made it clear that regardless of what she said, he was going to tell someone, so putting the fear of god into him was the only option for her.

His own personal batch of cookies will make him forget it ever happened. :p

didn't dig tonight's episode much. felt to fillery to me.

Really? Did you just want a horde of zombies to attack the place without the group even interacting with the town. It seems weird to me they would show up and not have tension build or much interaction with the townsfolk. We never really got to know anyone in Woodsbury and to me that was worse. It was just a bunch of background extras and none of them mattered. I'd at least like to get to know some of this new group even if they are just fodder.

I don't think they'll go far enough with it. Sure he'll go off the deep end a bit , but he's not Shane and something will reel him back in before it's too late. Right now him and Carol are technically the villains, which is very interesting.

No. I like having some peace. What I'd've liked to have seen was more of a reaction from everyone at the party after Sasha bugged out. We go from that to the next day. In the span of 2 weeks she's lost her lover and then right after that her brother.

It would be interesting to see what these people are saying to each other about the group. I'd assume they would understand a little bit. They know the group has had it rough, just not the extent of what they've been through.

yes, indeed. I was hoping to see a little more reaction from the alexandria group for this but was disappointed to not see it.
