Yea I don't get what happened with this thread because when sumowrestler first replied to my previous post, I saw SF's reply and it confused me because sumowrestler's post was different than it currently is with no edit tag or anything. o.o

Thanks for that heads up, Byrd Man. I didn't know or forgot about those posting rules or at least where they were posted. IF Miri is accepted, I'll try to post frequently with her as long as there is something to reply to.

Sometimes you can just post consecutively whilst doing a solo arc.

Powers and Brief Origin (provide at least two sentences) Miri was out on her honeymoon when Mongul 2 came crashing through the space shuttle that her and her husband,Kered, was using. In the struggle, Mongul killed Miri’s husband. Miri waited a few days trying to get to another planet. She then decided to commit suicide by bashing her own space helmet. Right before she was successful, a violet ring came to her to offer Miri a spot in the Star Sapphire Corps. She accepted and was one of the many Sapphires fighting off the Black Lanterns.

Group your character is aligned with (if applicable): Star Sapphires, Teen Titans (future, maybe)

Write two complete sentences using proper English grammar. One to explain what you plan to do with the character you've chosen. The other to explain why you've chosen this character. (i.e. What are your goals? Will you be doing anything different with the character than is usually seen?):
Right now the idea is to have her join the Teen Titans. She will have a curiosity of Earth from conversations with Carol Ferris. Miri will also have a belief that the best way to avoid something similar to what Darkseid tried is to fill as many hearts with love instead of whatever the anti-life equation was all about.

Zamaron

Miri stands in front of the Sapphire CPB. It is a bright violet color made of stone standing on a pedestal surrounded by violet crystals. Queen Aga’Po walks up to the young Sapphire.

“I sense in your heart that you still desire to be on Earth with Sapphire Jordan-Ferris. Why is this so?”


Miri walks around looking at the tall violet crystals that makes up most of Zamaron. She thinks carefully on how to answer her leader.

How do I respond without sounding ungrateful for them saving my life? There was so much that happen recently that it is hard to understand it all. The Sapphire Corps were told about the War of Light and what it would lead to but to actually see it is hard to fully grasp. How could all of those people easily submit to serving someone or something they don’t understand or know? Can I understand that living here on Zamaron around my fellow Sapphires and Zamarons?

“I think back to all of those mindless people who were easily controlled by Darkseid. If they had something stronger in their hearts like love, they could have fought it off. As is our unofficial motto, love does conquer all.”

“I would agree with you, Miri. I also sense though that you are a bit curious as to why Jordan-Ferris is our most powerful Sapphire. The best way to understand that is to spend some time on her home world and maybe around her for a time. You can take a temporary assignment to Earth but be ready when we call on you for another assignment.”

Miri smiles from ear to ear. Queen Aga’Po nods and with that Miri flies off towards Earth.



I didn't know if you wanted just an expanded sample so you have the whole thing. I can continue to expand the post if needed. I'm in contact with the Teen Titans via PMs.

No powers, per se. But a master of the little known martial arts discipline of Moo Gi Gong. This discipline allows Roy to use any object as a weapon. Starting out under the codename Speedy, the sidekick of Green Arrow, Roy has grown and developed as a hero taking on the codename Arsenal to represent the wide variety of weapons he uses. He outgrew the distinction of sidekick and became a fully fledged hero in his own right, even gaining membership to the Justice League. More recently he took time off from crime fighting to focus on fathering his young daughter Lian after the horror of their death and subsequent ressurection. Now though, Roy has returned to the crimefighting game under the moniker of Red Arrow.

Will you be doing anything different with the character than is usually seen?): I can identify with Roy on a number of levels, as a single father and someone who has dealt with drugs and the pain such a life brings. It's in this aspect and his overall story of redemption, acceptance and growth as a person that I feel I can take the character and weave an interesting, intriguing and heartfelt story. Having read the work Green Lantern did with him in previous seasons, I want to take that to the next level and really delve deep into the character behind the Red Arrow mask.

“AAAAAGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH~!!”

His thoughts were cut as the thin scream piped up from the darkness below. Green eyes scanned the rooftops before diverting to the maze of rat infested alleyways below. He stood now as a second scream echoed and gave him a direction. Gloved hands pulled his mask into place and he took up his bow and quiver, slinging them over his shoulder. With a grunt, he leapt from his resting place and grasped an overhanging fire-escape. Quickly he scaled to the roof and set off at a steady lope towards to the distressed noise.

Within moments he was staring down at a black clad man with a woolly hat in place holding a cocked pistol under the chin of a young woman. Despite the weapon touching her skin, the woman was valiantly trying to stop the man from wrestling her purse from her grasp. He dragged an arrow from the quiver on his back and notched it to the string. Drawing back, he lined up the shot… it was harder in the dark, but even from this distance, it was still an easy shot. “Hey! With a face as ugly as yours, I’d be treating the ladies a damn sight better than that!”

The mugger turned and looked up in the direction of the voice. The man above him was silhouetted in moonlight and he could barely make out the purple and blue hues of his attire. He sure noticed the glinting arrow pointing towards him though and instinctively found himself licking his lips nervously. “This ain’t your business ya masked chump. Now get the hell outta here before I unload this…” He waved his gun towards the unflinching stranger for effect, “... Right into this broads pretty little mug!”

The arrow wielding newcomer smiled easily and pulled the bow back to full tension. “That ain’t gonna happen pal. Now…. Let the lady go and I’ll make this painless. Push my patience and I can guarantee that you’ll regret it”.

The mugger tightened his grip on the throat of his young victim as she sobbed helplessly in his grasp. “Seems to me you’ve only got one of those pretty little arrows, and I’ve got a full chamber of bullets. You wanna take a shot… ‘cuz you ain’t gona hit me from up there and when you miss, you’ve got seven bullets to dodge. Think you can do that ya freak?”

“The names Red Arorw buddy….

…And I never miss”.

The arrow loosed and flashed through the air, screaming towards its target...
