I thought the point of our little arc was that we could work relatively independent (while still together). You do your side of your case, I do mine. We meet later. It's been ridiculously good weather lately (and it is right now) so I haven't posted. I'll try to get a post up tomorrow.

I know, but I liked our rhythm of I post, you post, I post, you post. Didn't really want to knock things out of rhythm by doing something else.

Sorry for keeping you from posting Keyser. I actually think it'd be in your best interest to go on without me, because I can't really find a way to bring Wally into your storyline and my post rate isn't too high at the moment

What's the RP history of Selina Kyle so far?

As far as I know, a whole lotta nadda. Someone applied for her at the end of Season V and never posted as her. Keep in mind the cut-off point in continuity is post Infinite Crisis.

 

[Batman]

Charlie No-One played her off and on in alot of the mid-seasons. Essentially, Batman and Selina are still on their usual terms - fluctuating romance halted by her occasional bouts of theft and his dedication to justice. She briefly became apart of his inner-circle team of crimefighters at the start of Season IV, but hasn't really appeared since. Her last known contact with Bruce was before his death, when he explained that he now had a son.

Powers and Brief Origin (provide at least two sentences) If you copy/paste this information from another website, link back to it, or it is considered plagiarism and is not allowed. : A Central City PD forensics scientist, Barry Allen was struck by lightning and drenched with chemicals from his lab. Becoming connected with what he called the “Speed Force”, he gained the ability to run at super-speed. Using his powers, he adopted the identity of the Flash, to honor his childhood hero, Jay Garrick, and became one of Earth’s greatest heroes. Barry died during the Crisis on Infinite Earths, and has been dead since...until recently, when he mysteriously returned to the land of the living.

Write two complete sentences using proper English grammar. One to explain what you plan to do with the character you've chosen. The other to explain why you've chosen this character. (i.e. What are your goals? Will you be doing anything different with the character than is usually seen?): I chose Barry because I want to have some fun and take part in some Flash family stories. I haven't been a real member of the family since I stopped playing Bart at the end of Season V. I just want to have some fun and do well as Barry. I chose him because I've been digging the Flash relaunch and want to tell some stories in that same vein.

Why am I here?

That's the one thought that runs through my head as I run around the world. Metropolis, Central City, Chicago, Tokyo, London. They all pass by in the blink of an eye. Why am I back in the land of the living? What took me out of the Speed Force, and why? Cheating death is something common in our line of work, but there has to be a purpose. Hal came back for redemption. For Clark and Bruce, their respective worlds needed them. Ollie came back because....well, because he's Ollie and the afterlife isn't much of a party to Olive Queen. They all came because they wanted to, because they needed to. Personally, I had no objections to being dead. While I've been stuck at a stand-still, the world around me has passed me by.

I come to a skidding stop on the outskirts of Keystone City. I've been back for all of three days, and ever since then it's been one crisis after another. Is that why I'm back? Some great threat that I need to help stop? A red and yellow blur comes over the horizion and it occurs to me my reasons for returning my be simpler than I thought.

"Flash!" Kid Flash cries out.

Bart Allen. My own grandson that shares my speed and my name. He's a child of the future, stuck in the present. If there's every been a sign that my time has come and gone, Bart is it.

"What's wrong?"

"Iron Heights! The Rogues are causing a riot."

I nod. The Rogues. I may have missed many things since I've been gone, but they aren't among those things.

"Let's go. I'll race you."

I disappear into a cloud of dust, Bart nipping at my heels. After the riot is taken care of, I'm going to figure out why I returned from the Speed Force. It's a mystery. And I need to find some solid evidence.

I'm good with evidence.

Character you would like to play (please include the color and font you plan on using to portray the character): Selina Kyle aka Catwoman

Selina’s parents are Brian and Maria Kyle. Her mother was never close to Selina or her sister Maggie and would often rather spend time with her cats then her children. Her mother eventually committed suicide, and her father began drinking heavily after his wife’s suicide. Selina’s father hated Selina because she looked like her mother, eventually he drank too much and was subdued to alcohol poisoning. Selina ran away and lived on the streets while Maggie was taking to an orphanage right away. Eventually Selina was caught and sent to an orphanage. She caused so much trouble that she would be sent to Juvenile Hall. When Selina was 13 years old she was sent back to an orphanage, but she soon discovered that the place was embezzling money. They would confront her and attempt to cover it all up by drowning Selina in a bag dropped into the river. Selina escapes and returns to the orphanage. She steals documental proof that they were embezzling money and also stole money to live on her own, she sent the documents to the police to expose them.

Eventually the money Selina stole would not last forever. Selina would be taken in by an old thief gang leader named Mama Fortuna. Fortuna taught Selina and other runaways how to steal, however used them as slaves when she would keep all their work. Eventually Selina would run away with a friend she met while in the gang named Sylvia. They could not survive on their own and always had a shortage of money. They decided to become prostitutes and Sylvia would be able to attract men, but Selina would not attract anyone. Eventually Sylvia grew to hate Selina for everything that has happened. When Selina finally becomes a successful thief, she continued to steal. During one of her jobs, she made a mistake and had to lay low for awhile. Selina was trained by the Armless Master of Gotham in martial arts and would earn her trademark whip.

Selina (now an adult) achieves some success as a thief. Following a disastrous burglary, however, she accepts an offer to "lay low" by posing as a dominatrix in the employ of a pimp named Stan. They plan to trick men into divulging information that might be used in future crimes.
Moving to New York, Selina becomes corporate vice president then CEO of Randolf Industries, a mafia-influenced company, through blackmail. She plans to use this position to run for Mayor of New York City, but her hopes are dashed when the Trickster inadvertently connects her to her criminal alter ego. (thanks Comicvine)

Lately, Selina had briefly been part of Batman's gang of crime-fighters. She soon disappeared off the radar and was left a message from Bruce himself, explaining the situation with his son. Now dead, Selina is left without her true partner in crime, once and for all

I have chosen this character as I've been thinking about portraying her for some time, plus, she has many connections and can be up to anything.

This is not normal, Selina. Selina Kyle aka Catwoman, soared through the heavy night sky of Gotham City, returning from a joyful night of petty theft. Well, petty, as in, just two or three necklaces - of course, replaced by plastic replicas. She had booked an appointment for a job LexCorp. Keeping the fact Superman's worst enemy runs the whole company, Selina still wanted to keep out of all the drama and just be a simple woman who worked as a secretary.

"Wow, out of all the jobs I could possibly have, I still manage to end up entangled in the crime/crime-fighting scene with LexCorp."

Catwoman began mutter to herself. She then took one last swing before landing on her Apartment block building roof. With a safe and graceful landing, Catwoman lifted up her goggles and mask, letting out a big sigh of stress. Clutching the necklaces with a loose grip. Biting her lip, Catwoman crept over to the roof door, cutting the lock open once again and walking down the metal stairs. Having a whole night by herself, Selina certainly had time to reflect on how she would present in the interview.

After a long, hot shower, Selina dressed herself in two towels. One beige one wrapped around her hair, accompanied by one white one wrapped around her body. She sat down carefully, whilst holding a ginger furry cat in her arms. She picked up a framed picture of her and Batman. She began to feel tears swell up in her eyes. She moved the ginger cat to one side of her bed and looked closer at the picture. Thoughts just span around in her head. A single tear dropped onto the glass of the frame, rolling down it. "Oh my, Batman. What would you think of me now? Why did you leave me. You left me, all on my own. But no, you couldn't just damn go out peacefully! You have a son! A frickin mini Batman. But don't worry Batsy, I'll find him...It'll be a reminder that there's still a memory of you left on this world."
