While Earth is shrouded in a multicolored cloud of combat, the other planets in this solar system are host to minor skirmishes here and there. Mars, my long dead homeworld, is unfortunately not an exception. To my knowledge, there are only a handful of Martians left alive, and now, amid this chaos, two prodigal sons have returned to their home.

Roughly one Earth week ago, my brother Ma'alefa'ak was rewarded for his genocide of our race by being granted a yellow power ring. He had decided to celebrate this by returning to the scene of his greatest crime and tormenting the souls of the dead and desecrating their memory.

As for me, I am J’onn J’onzz, the party pooper.

“Ma'alefa'ak,” I whisper to myself as I hover down to the ground, “must I always be my brother’s keeper.”
