Character you would like to play (please include the color and font you plan on using to portray the character): Nightwing (Verdana bold, Navy)

Powers and Brief Origin (provide at least two sentences) If you copy/paste this information from another website, link back to it, or it is considered plagiarism and is not allowed. : Richard Grayson was orphaned as a small boy, much like Bruce Wayne, the victim of a double homicide. Unlike Bruce, Dick was a circus performer, an acrobat of unparalleled excellence. Bruce took him in, and to find justice for his parents, trained him to be a crime fighter much like himself. Dick became the first Robin, and a founding member of the Teen Titans. As he grew older, his style and Batman's began to clash, and they butted heads more often than not. Dick moved to New York and began being a Teen Titan full time, rather than Batman's sidekick. As such he adopted a new identity as Nightwing. After the Titans disbanded, Nightwing moved from Gotham to the nearby crime riddled city of Bludhaven. The city was decimated by an attack by the Joker during a recent Crisis, leaving Nightwing to help rebuild.

Write two complete sentences using proper English grammar. One to explain what you plan to do with the character you've chosen. The other to explain why you've chosen this character. (i.e. What are your goals? Will you be doing anything different with the character than is usually seen?): Well... where do I start? Dick Grayson is the only character in my top three that I haven't tried to portray the mainstream persona of. I've played him in One Universe. I've played him in Ultimate DC (in fact, still do, and this won't change anything). But I've never played him in World of Heroes. I've held myself back, many a time, as I don't honestly know if I'm good enough. Dick's a bigger character than Roy, or even Kara, but I'm confident I can do him justice. (Not vengeance, get your words right Robinson.) I plan to bring him to the forefront of the DC RPG where he belongs, as he was during the two Dark Alliance arcs, and hopefully bring my overwhelming love of the character to the surface in my portrayal.

Above the streets of Gotham, a familiar silhouette was outlined by the moonlight. Not one with a billowing cape or long ears, but one much sleeker, and faster. Nightwing crouched on a gargoyle, looking out over the apparently serene nightscape of the city. But growing up here, he knows that there is never anything serene about a night in Gotham. In fact, that certainty was about to prove itself, as the thug he had been watching was about to make his move. The moment had come, as a young woman walked down the street, alone, an often fatal decision in Gotham City.

"And she's not even blonde... Oh well."

Dick mutters to himself as he uses his grapple gun to swing back down to ground level. Just as he silently drops behind the mugger, the criminal grabs the girl and throws her to the ground. "You'll stay there and you'll like it *****!"

"Now, now, at least buy the woman dinner first, you creep!"

As the man turned to face the voice coming from the shadows, he lost his balance as an escrima stick connected hard with his nose, shattering it with a sickening crack.

"With a nose like that, you might just yet find your calling in the new season of Jersey Shore."
