I will freely admit that I should have went along with AEW more but I checked out for a little while mostly because of things like the Inner Circle, which I freaking hated because Hager and Proud and Powerful do not fit with Jericho at all, unlike Sammy, and I was super annoyed by Omega and Hangman winning the tag titles that it just made me care a lot less. I just was put off by and it rubbed me the wrong way.
At least Omega and Hangman seem to be heading toward a feud thank goodness. I get what AEW was doing but I was not here for it.
Just no, and I know people really have liked this story but I just tuned out because of where they put Omega, and I'm not some Kenny fanboy but I have zero interest in seeing the guy in the spot he was in. It's just lame as hell what they were doing to me. All the hype he had freaking died. I just did not give a crap about watching us get to this point with Hangman and Kenny.
My issue is with the Women's Division. I hope that Thunder Rosa stays because she is really good, one of the best females to not have been signed by WWE, Impact or AEW. If not, it's a mistake by AEW not to sign her. I think Impact has the best Women's Division in all of wrestling, even better than the three divisions in the WWE even though NXT is really close. This last episode of Impact, Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo had a celebration of her title win, which was interrupted by Jordynne Grace, Tenille Dashwood (formerly Emma of WWE) and the group of women who teleported to the Impact Zone from Wrestle House: Rosemary, Taya Valkyrie, Susie (who is the alter ego of Su Yung), Alisha Edwards and Kylie Rae, who is also the #1 contender for the Knockouts Title due to her win at Slammiversary.
NXT's Women's Division is also pretty good, with Io Shirai as the champion (with NXT booking Japanese women to give them the NXT Women's Championships, it bodes well for newcomer Sareee whenever she's able to travel to America). I don't know at this point who Io is going to face (probably Dakota Kai again), but on NXT there are a few Women's feuds with Rhea Ripley vs. Mercedes Martinez and most likely, Candice LaRae vs. Tegan Nox. Shotzi Blackheart is pretty much a regular on NXT these days. Kayden Carter and Kacy Catanzaro have been used a lot as well. Being paired with Robert Stone has given Aliyah the most screen time she's ever had.
With AEW, it's basically Big Swole vs. Britt Baker, in which I hope their feud ends tonight and Thunder Rosa vs. Shida with only two weeks of build. That's it. Raw and Smackdown have had more women on their shows. We are likely to see Sasha vs. Bayley, Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler vs. the revived Riott Squad, Asuka vs. Mickie James vs. Natalya and possibly Nikki Cross vs. Alexa Bliss. That's 4 feuds for women on WWE's main roster, which is more than AEW.
