The Wrestling Thread has much larger nipples

I do agree, somewhat, that Jericho has had a bit too much screen time, especially considering how limited AEW's is. He's a draw though, so it is what it is...

Didn't know AEW was trying to draw flies.

It's been reported that Naitch has been released from whatever agreement he has with WWE.

This is getting silly now. I wonder if WWE are doing this now at this point to fuel the "lol AEW TNA Lite" jibes.

WWE is the last thing that excites me in a fascinating time in wrestling but it does concern me that AEW is getting a bit scatterbrained in its planning because they're not controlling the roster or storylines.

If Ric shows up in AEW before Summerslam, it's unlikely Charlotte Flair wins the Raw Women's Championship at Summerslam.

Most of Jericho's matches as of late though has him putting everyone else over. Plus he is moving more into The King's role doing more announcing and some wrestling.

OK, If AEW adds Daniel Bryan, CM Punk and Bray Wyatt to Moxley & Aleister Black, I might have to start watching...

AEW still seems more competent on a week to week basis, but it definetly feels like, if they really are going to be the primary importer of WWE’s overly-qualified cast-offs, then they need to plan out how to use that second show their planning to integrate the roster without becoming its own competition. I’ve long thought WWE’s problem with the brand split was not thinking out how it could be done, not the concept itself, but admittedly, it would be tricky even if you did approach it intelligently.

Otherwise, they might honestly do better just making it clear they have no problem featuring anyone from one of their friendly fellow promotions, but can’t take on many more major stars themselves right now.

I think AEW has been very picky in regards to former WWE talent.
At least in terms fo who they actually want to feature, very much so. But they also need to make sure they can genuinely produce *new* talent all the way through as well - if for no other reason than to show they don’t need WWE to be stupid in order to make a Royal Flush of a card. And that’s an area where I might get more stingy if I were them - even if I felt I could produce a massive super card of Vince’s sabotaged and forgotten main roster and NXT castoffs, I’d still want Darby, MJF, Sammy, and Page on it as well, even if it meant I had to kick off a few proven WWE guys.

…But also, let’s face it, the fact they could likely do both if they wanted to now is a salivatingly delicious idea.

Raw as usual Hot Garbage.

Goldberg was 2-3 years ago one of the few good promo guys, simply because he had no script. Now he stands there chewing his bubblegum and talking about Gladiators and ****.

You can tell that Ali is from Chicago.
No not because of the crowd reaction, no its because the WWE tends to give a big "screw you" to the hometown heroes.
Forget the storyline that was going, have him lose in 2 minutes and then beat him down in the ring because thats what you need to do in chicago with a guy from chicago.
Because why do something for the fans right?

Kross loses again in a 50/50 booking nightmare.
I guess this all is to debut Scarlett who brings the fire back to the guy...at least that would make this crap acceptable.
But still, what a bad way to have someone debut.
I hope Joe can take the title from him easily because everything else makes NXT look so bad.

Sound effects for Nikki and her running backstage back and forth like a clown...yeah they really dont want me to like her.
And again, what a god damn heelish way they present Nikki...attacking Charlotte from behind etc.

The most interesting thing about Raw to me is the question when Nia Jax got the cut above her eyes.
I more invested in this than in the rest of the show.

What the WWE did to Bray is just wrong and while I love Alexa they should drop the whole Fiend thing the moment they let him go.

Also reading the Nature Boy's comments on everything with Lacey Evans and all it's kind of sad to see him go out like this too. Both him and Charlotte were pushed into a storyline they didn't want.

I heard speculation that Nick Khan and WWE might be preparing to cut most live events and do most of their shows at Las Vegas. So all these cuts are about trimming down the roster and expenses. Nick Khan is ultimately not a wrestling guy like Triple H is, and likely views things like the Performance Center as wasteful spending. So expect more changes for WWE in the coming years.

Sigh.....at Max Castor. AEW needs to discipline him because he rapped about Simone Biles and the Duke Lacrosse Rape case.

He's a moron.

The show is taped if I have to right, so they need to look at themselves also.

Adam Cole Reportedly Turns Down Multiple WWE Contract Offers, AEW Bound?

WWE NXT is at risk of losing one of their biggest stars. Former leader of The Undisputed Era and the longest reigning NXT Champion of all time, Adam Cole has the end of his contract rapidly approaching. It is set to end just after NXT Takeover 36, where Cole is expected to face Kyle O’Reilly in their third and final match. This is likely where his NXT run ends, but could it also see him leave WWE?

Adam Cole Has Refused Contract Offers From WWE
The contract of Adam Cole actually expired first around The Great American Bash, but he signed an extension to finish up the feud with Kyle O’Reilly properly. With that feud ending, Cole is set to become a free agent. WWE are trying to keep him under contract, but a report from PWUnlimited indicates that Cole has turned down multiple offers from WWE for new contracts.

It’s unclear what Cole is being offered, but whatever it is is clearly not good enough at this time. Given the current landscape of WWE, with them having been making big cuts on the regular. The latest big names released were Bray Wyatt and the legendary Ric Flair, showing that no one is safe. This would be enough for most to choose to not stick around, even someone with as high an upside as Cole.

A Potential Challenger At All Out For Kenny Omega?
If Cole does leave WWE following NXT Takeover 36, his most obvious destination is All Elite Wrestling. Not only is his girlfriend their Women’s Champion, but Cole was an old cast member of Being The Elite. He can enter the company with built in storylines with both The Young Bucks & Kenny Omega, due to their past in Bullet Club.

Considering in Being The Elite canon, Adam Cole was poisoned by The Elite, he could even show up looking to help destroy their faction in revenge. Currently, Kenny Omega has no challenger for All Out, after he was able to put Hangman Page down to win a 5 vs. 5 survival match. AEW hasn’t played their hand yet, and the build could be a quick rushed affair.

Ruby Riott Is Headed To AEW

AEW has been lucky enough to snag a few high profile signings, and their women’s division is about to get a big addition. Following her WWE release, Ruby Riott became Ruby Soho. She also trademarked The Runaway, and she is going to be All Elite.

According to a report from Fightful Select, Ruby Soho is on her way to AEW. Her non-compete clause will be up just before All Out, and this situation apparently going to become a reality.

Plans call for Ruby Soho, the former Ruby Riott to make her way into the company, according to talent and industry insiders.. As far as we know, Ruby’s non-compete clause is up shortly before AEW All Out.

Ruby hasn’t done a lot of interviews or signings since WWE released her. She did dye her hair a very different shade, and it appears that she will have a new company to debut that look in very soon.

As of this writing there are no reported creative plans for Ruby Soho, but she is expected to join the AEW roster in the next few weeks. AEW All Out will take place on September 5th, and the timing of Ruby’s WWE release should see her cleared of her non-compete clause at the end of August.

Tonight's Impact saw Melina appeared and the main event was Kenny Omega & Good Brothers Vs. Sami Callihan, Eddie Edwards, & Frank Kazarian.

RIP Beautiful Bobby Eaton. He will be missed by all.

I don't think I've ever said one thing about who goes into the Hall of Fame but the WEE needs to do the right thing and put the Midnight Express into the HOF. The ME might have been the first wrestlers that I was supposed to hate but I kinda liked them. I still love there theme song.

AEW Fans: "I cannot wait for CM Punk and Bryan Danielson to debut in AEW!"
COVID 19: "Yeah, I don't think so, it's back to Daily's Place AEW goes!"
AEW Fans:

I’m honestly still hot over Bray Wyatt being fired, but that Uso who can’t stay sober enough to drive his car still has a spot.

Damn that Samoan bloodline.
