The Wrestling Thread has much larger nipples

Omos is terrible in the ring but I'd use him as the bodyguard for Melo don't Miz, all he has to do stand there looking massive and do the odd clothesline and chokeslam.

I was surprised that none of the faces ever used him in such a capacity whenever the faces dealt with Solo Sikoa. Unless Solo has to climb on top of Tama Tonga's shoulders, there's not a chance that Solo would be able to thumb Omos in the neck.

I get where you're coming from, I think Punk, Roman and Seth has had by far the best build, it's hard to do a personal triple threat but these 3 guys have been on top form and with Heyman as the wild card I feel they've built this up to feel big. Cena and Cody have had some good promos and the heel turn has helped, but the lack of explanation on Cena's relationship with the Rock and the fact I've never been a fan of nostalgia acts main eventing Wrestlemania has left me mild to it. Agreed on Naomi/Jade and the Women’s World title triple threat, even if the booking of Rhea as a whiny brat has been a bit strange lol.

I'd also agree that outside of them it's been lacklustre, Charlotte/Tiffy has been a train wreck, Drew and Priest have tried hard but the fans don't care, and Jey/Gunther has picked up with 2 really good segments on the last 2 Raw’s, but it's still a really mediocre wrestler about to become World Champion. The rest has been an afterthought, especially the rest of the titles, Bayley vs Roxy was just dropped, Liv has had to wait until the last minute to get a match despite being one of the top stars over the last year, they've introduced 2 new Women’s titles and neither are being defended, they've got the next big thing in Bron defending in a match thats more about Finn and Dom squabbling, Logan Paul is never there to build his angle with AJ, and they've cobbled together the New Day vs War Raiders at the last minute despite the Champions not even being over.

I feel you also, but with Punk/Roman/Seth, that main event is another reason why I say this whole Mania feels cobbled together because it feels like they put all together in the match just because of their starpower. Granted, all three of them are super over and a title isn't really required for them, but the whole custody of Paul E thing and these favors and Roman hardly being around except for the last ten minutes of a SmackDown just has me like MEH. And then Seth, just like last year, he's just there.

Then yeah, the Cena/Cody program still needs to give us answers and I totally get the thing about going into the nostalgia well, but atleast they've been working to make this match mean something.

The rest of the card is just uninspired. Still bummed that Chelsea isn't on it, still wanna know why Nia is left off the card after the amazing year she's had, and then no Carmelo, also it's a good chance Bron might lose his IC title when he's hardly got a chance to prove what he could with it... it's just blahhhh lol.

I honestly feel like the build for this show has been terrible. So much repetition. The extra two weeks have not helped but it's like HHH only knows how to build in one way. The same promo over and over again, sprinkled with brawls. We haven't had fun tags and other such things that show these wrestlers clash in the build. It's all the same and it all ran out of steam weeks ago.

My predictions for the Wrestlemania 41 winners

John Cena
Seth Rollins
Jey Uso
Randy Orton
Dominik Mysterio
New Day
Bianca Bel Air
Naomi
Charlotte Flair
Drew McIntyre
Jacob Fatu
Liv and Raquel
Rey Mysterio

Kaiser gets a match and loses to a returning Rusev

Also, NXT's booking up to Stand and Deliver has not been great either. I mean, why is it taking to the go home for Stand and Deliver to have tag title opponents for Fraxiom? And what's the point of a NA Title Contenders match when it's going to be Ricky Saints vs. Ethan Page? Why is Eddy Thorpe still a thing?

People will want Street Profits and Carmelo on the card.

Also, what's the point of keeping Omos on the roster if you are never going to use him? Either release him or send him to NXT or TNA. I know he was in NOAH in Japan for a bit, but he had to drop the tag team titles because he was told they were going to use him, but they have not.

Either release Omos or send him to NXT or TNA.

Carmelo Hayes just recently started tagging with Miz and isn't doing much right now. Street Profits are wrestling the SmackDown before WrestleMania. Hayes has not gotten all that over since moving to SmackDown.

Naomi and Jade Cargill have the first non-women's title singles match on WrestleMania in over 20 years. Both African American women.

Orton shouldn't be booked at WrestleMania if the best they can do is a throwaway match with Solo. Dumb as boiled garbage.

I do think the way they've switched the focus of Cody and Cena to the WWE titles importance has been a good move, it gives a tangible endgame for Cena's motivations.

Bron's IC title reign has been really undercooked, it should have been like Gunther's but he's spent most of it in a cycle of wrestling Kaiser and Sheamus, then it looked like he was getting a match with AJ at Wrestlemania which would have been a great showcase, instead he's in a 4-Way where as you say he's likely to drop the title as I expect Dom to sneak the win instead of Bron running through all 3 guys.

Chelsea being overlooked completely is the biggest travesty of the card, there should have been a contender for her US title prepared from the moment she won it, in fact introducing two new Women’s titles and not having them defended on their 1st Wrestlemania is poor booking in general.

What about Cena and Rock needs to be explained? Seems self-evident to me. Cena wants to get to his 17 World title. He doesn't care about the fans anymore. If anything, he's over-explained why he turned on the fans. And its not like Cena is retiring after WrestleMania, he still has the rest of the year to go before his retirement tour ends.

And how is Cena a nostalgia act when he has turned heel and still trying to tell a new story? Doesn't seem like he's relying on playing the greatest hits. Now if he was still a babyface and was fighting Gunther or something, that would feel "been there, done that".

Wouldn't this be a botched finish instead of a shoot? Maybe I'm just arguing semantics but calling this a shoot feels like unnecessary exaggeration.

Yeah, it's a clickbaity title.

Cena had already won the Elimination Chamber, Rock didn't help him or do anything for him, so what was the throat slit and collusion about? There's been no explanation of what their relationship is.

Cena's a nostalgia act because he's barely even a part timer, he's made like 5 or 6 appearances in 4 months and he's not been around as a regular pro wrestler for years and he's retiring at the end of the year, it's no different to Taker or Hogan being wheeled out come Mania season in the past.

Seems pretty self-evident to me. Rock made the same offer to him that he made to Cody, but unlike Cody he took the offer. When Cody told Rock to go **** himself, Cena made it clear to Rock with that look that he wanted what Rock was offering Cody.

He only won the Chamber because Seth cost Punk the match. Cena won that thing by being in the right place at the right time. There is also the fact that he was able to politic his way into the Chamber without having to win a qualifying match like the other participants had to. And its likely Rock used his stroke to get Cena into that Chamber match.

When you talk about nostalgia act, I think of someone just playing their greatest hits. Cena isn't doing that right now.

Why would Cena need what Rock's offering though? He's already a movie star, he's had a decade on top in WWE, and if that's the case it needs verbalising and it hasn't been, Rock's name has been mentioned just once since Elimination Chamber, the huge buzz was about what the connection was between them, and it's not been followed up on, primarily because Rock isn't around and inserted himself into an angle he can't participate in.

However he won it, he still won it without any help from Rock, now I agree that him politicking his way in was the 1st clue of a heel turn, but he's never said Rock pulled that string for him, and unless Seth is also in on it Rock didn't do anything to ensure Cena won, if Cena's his guy.

When you talk about nostalgia act, I think of someone just playing their greatest hits. Cena isn't doing that right now.

Fair enough, I just think of it as guys who's best days are behind them but roll in on name recognition and take top spots come WrestleMania, like Taker, Rock and now Cena.

I know the build this year has been all over the place, but do you think the show itself will deliver? I do.

And, what is your most looked forward to match this coming weekend?

I agree (or atleast I'm hopeful).

Really, really wanna see how the women's triple threat match goes. Feels like it could be SO good.

So what is the opinion on WWE giving titles to league championship winners in other sports? I don't mind it one bit and I enjoy it whenever parts of the IWC get upset for the WWE giving a replica WWE Title to the Philadelphia Eagles after the Super Bowl because I don't see it as a big deal and I doubt many of us do either. They are going to give replica titles to whoever wins the NBA Finals and Stanley Cup and I highly doubt that the teams throw the title in the trash, like parts of the IWC think that these teams do. Most likely these teams put the title in the trophy case at the team offices.

This is one of those things that the WWE does that should not be heavily criticized since it's innocuous

WWE should fire Omos. There's no point in paying a guy you haven't booked on TV in a year, a guy you have no plans on booking on TV. A guy who was working in Japan and relinquished the NOAH tag team titles for no reason, and they pulled him saying he was returning to WWE. He never did.

Time to cut him loose.

If Cody, Jey and Dom walk out as Champions I honestly will probably stop watching for awhile…
