The Fatal 4-Way that kicked off NXT was good, no surprise that Ethan Page won, but the match was action packed and he's the right choice for Ricky Saints first North American title defence. The tag team gauntlet match was also decent and served as a good pay-off for Hank & Tank's storyline over the last month or so, I actually think they'll win the belts off Fraxiom at Stand & Deliver.
The rest of the show was weak though, the parking lot brawl was fine for a TV show in terms of production, but using sound effects was weird, and guys lacing each other with crowbars was silly, if they were real or really connected the damage would be severe, and none of these guys had a mark on them,
Roxy continues to get messed around, Ava makes a Fatal 4-Way Elimination tag match with the winners facing the Women's Tag Team Champions next week, so she has to find a partner and Cora steps in, fair enough, not ideal but at least she's on Stand & Deliver.......only she's not, the whole angle has been about her wanting to be on Stand & Deliver yet later they announced the match is on the ****ing pre show, WTF? Roxy and Lashkara have all performed well on main roster PLE's, yet that match is not on the main show because they needed to have the 30's gangsters vs Shield lite?
The last 2 qualifiers for the Women's North American title ladder match were fairly average, Thea Hail is back but still has the same "zany" gimmick, and Lola Vice has struggled to evolve after her push last summer. It's hard to see who's going to win that ladder match, Sol and Zaria are building their team and Kelani has already been Champion, but the other 3 don't feel ready, I get the impression they want Izzy Dame to be a star though.
The final segment was ok, Trick and Je'Von made interesting hat choices and all 3 guys had a bit to say, nothing amazing, but solid enough, especially from Evans, but then it broke down into a brawl and Trick and Oba had one of the worst punching exchanges I've seen, they both threw so many whiffers that it looked like a Shane McMahon homage! Je'Von hitting them simultaneously with a double springboard cutter to close the show was a mercy killing.
