I still dont see how Lay-Cool was a rip off of The Beautiful People.

Michelle McCool likes to steal popular ideas and use them for herself to get over like when she took AJ Styles' hoodie look AND finisher!

MCMG and Beer Money could be great in WWE if they decide to make the tag division important again. I think Roode could be a singles star if he wins Vince over, but Vince is not big on southern characters like Storm. It why he craps on JR so much.

Vince must be ashamed of his ties to North Carolina

This week on Smackdown......

1. Cody Rhodes defeated Booker T to retain the Intercontinental Title. Great match back and forth match that went over ten minutes, according to Terrence. Cody went for the BDK but Booker ducked it. Booker went for the Bookend, but Cody elbowed his way out. Book kicked him, hit the axe kick, and went for a cover, but Cody kicked out. Then Book tried for the axe kick again but Cody ducked it and hit a Beautiful Disaster Kick for the win.

2. Hornswoggle beat Heath Slater in an over the top rope challenge. Heath beat on him and then sat him on the top rope. Horny slapped him. Heath was about to slam Horny over the top, but Horny grabbed his hair for the win. After the match, Heath beat down Hornswoggle until Justin Gabriel made the save.

3. Hunico (w/Camacho) defeated Ted DiBiase. An okay match, according to Terrence. The crowd was not into it until Hunico went for the flying head scissors and Ted hit a reverse face plant. Hunico went to work on Ted's left arm. The end came with Hunico using a submission pin type move. He trapped Ted's arms with his legs like a Rings of Saturn, then rolled him over for the pin and crossed his feet. Nice finisher.

Wade Barrett thee Barrett's Barrage segment. Barrett said Orton is done and he will win the Royal Rumble while Orton sits at home and watches him. Enter Sheamus. Barrett and Sheamus went face to face. Jinder Mahal came out. They beat on Sheamus. He fought back while Wade hit the Winds of Change He left and then Jinder applied the Camel Clutch.

4. Santino Marella defeated Drew McIntyre. Santino became the new assistant to the general manager with the win, while McIntyre's career on Smackdown is in jeopardy. Santino won with The Cobra. Terrence said the match was just comedy and was nothing special.

5. Primo and Epico (w/Rosa Mendes) defeated Evan Bourne and Kofi Kingston in a non-title match. A good tag match, according to Terrence. The usual high flying from Air Boom. The Colons work well together. Epico got the pin after Evan missed AirBourne.

Sheamus vs. Jinder Mahal was announced for next week's show.

6. Tamina defeated Natalya. The match was one sided and The Warrior Princess picked up the win.

7. Daniel Bryan defeated Big Show by DQ in a World Hvt. Championship match. Mark Henry interfered for the DQ.

Read the spoilers.

I predicted the outcome of the Bryan vs Big Show match. Unfortunately.

RVD's best days are long gone.

Can't see WWE being interested in Angelina Love since she went skeletal and Velvet may be too porny for the current product.

Given his look and the fact he's sort of fused two of Vince's biggest ever stars, he may take a one-off view on Storm.

You can take the boy out of the trailer park but you can't take the trailer park out of the boy. No matter how much money Vince makes he's still a hick not some sophisticate away from wrestling. He just doesn't want to admit it.

I dont know. I still dont see Lay-Cool being a rip off of TBP. That's not a commentary on the quality or originality of either. But I dont think that saying "duo" and "catty" is enough for it to be a rip off. Its women's wrestling factions 101.

Even Beth and Natalya is a form of catty, with their whole "jealous of the Barbie doll girls and bullying them for their image" bit. Its just reversed roles. Bella's are a catty duo. They all are, except for Kelly Kelly and Eve, just because they dont even talk and are just eye candy.

Even CM Punk said it on air and he works there. Is all those things. The combination of every similarity. Plus who else has EVER done a sorority girls duo? Most of the other girl groups never went on and on about other girls looks and how flawless or beautiful they were. That was never the primary intent of PMS or the DoD. DoD are anti Barbie/model.

The fact that TBP called Laycool out on their lifted act then WWE ordered Laycool to shut up about it when Layla got mad about it says a lot. McCool was really going nowhere as far as getting over before Laycool. If she can borrow Styles finisher then I wouldn't be shocked if she or someone in WWE decided to create their own take on the Beautiful People gimmick

Van Damme was never a great worker it was all about the stuff he could do physically. His value has dropped significantly as a star. The relaunch of ECW and his WWE title win were the high points of his career and he did his fair part to screw that up himself. He couldn't even cut it as TNA champion.

Like I said before his opinion on himself is over inflated.

Looking at those SD spoilers...

I figured it would be a DQ title win to set up a triple threat for the Rumble between Bryan, Show and Henry.

Is Nattie no longer a duo with Beth and officially just a jobber?

I could see why Vince is ashamed of his Southern ties at least in Public. If he openly showed his Southerness (if that's a word) to the WWE Universe, odds would be high that he or someone close to him would have some sort of photo of the Flag of the Confederacy, which would offend all of his Black Wrestlers.

He runs a business, he has to hide it from the public. Vince doesn't want to be perceived as a Confederate Flag waving hick. He wants to be perceived as a cheating, lying, manipulative, and possibly bipolar businessman.

I think Vince hates the south largely due to his abusive southern step dad. Vince once sad that he wished his step dad hadn't had died because he wanted to kill him.

WWE Predicts That Batista Will Return, Jim Ross Sporting New Look, More

Posted by Daniel Pena on 01/03/2012
-- The latest issue of WWE Magazine looks back at the slew of grappling greats that debuted ten years ago—John Cena, Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio, Brock Lesnar and Batista. In their write-up for Batista, WWE predicts that fans haven't seen the last of The Animal.

WWE states: "Although he left the company in 2010, many see the departure as a temporary one, and it's simply a matter of time before The Animal rises again."

-- WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross joined the Oklahoma City Thunder broadcast team during the second quarter of tonight's NBA game between the Thunder and Portland Trail Blazers. He has changed his trademark look as he was shown on television with a grey goatee.

Unless there are divas he wants to "hang out with" that he hasn't hung out with yet, I think he's done with the WWE, especially since he's smaller now.

I'm going to fully disagree with you on this one. You can slap many negative labels on Vince, but a "hick" isn't one of them. Vince wouldn't be where he is if he lacked intelligence.

That pic gives me the creeps. His eyes seem to be saying, "Hey, you want to stop by my hotel room?"

Smackdown's taping sounds pretty decent,Next week will be in my town and I'll be there!!

One possible thing could be Sin Cara's return or an appearance since he's in the advertisements as"The return of Sin Cara in a special appearance"and my town is a border-town..So I guess they may have him do a promo/segment/dark match or something for the Latino fan base!?..Even though they already have Hunico and Primo&Epico with Rosa Mendes But then again their all heels!

That's interesting, I never heard about that until now. Maybe he'll like Jim Ross's new goatee

Vince will like it so much that he'll have JR get in the ring for a segment that includes getting attacked followed by someone shaving half of it off his face. Yes only half, just to mock JR in any other fashion possible.

And they'll do it in JR's hometown.

Never said he wasn't intelligent when it came to his business but a lot of his tastes are simple and unrefined. Who thinks chasing a grown man with a pair of his own sh** stained underwear behind the scenes at MSG is funny? Thats as lowbrow as it gets. Vince has a certain vision for wrestling but thats only because he learned that business from the inside out from his old man.

Everything else...he's never been a success. He couldn't fathom why the XFL might be a bust when anyone with any real business sense could have told him it was a HUGE gamble not worth taking. Hell I knew it THEN and I'm no businessman. He let his ego override his judgment. He let his pride get in the way of making some serious money with the invasion. And he thought his wife of all people could actually win a United States senate seat. Then he strutted around like cock of the walk to goad the US government AFTER he won in court over an issue f influencing voters at the polls during said senate run. Any idiot would know that was NOT going to help his wife. She's way more savvy than him when it comes to practical business matters beyond wrestling.

Vince's biggest contribution to the business was "go bigger." And thats just pure old carnie influence. Spectacle. It wasn't all VINCE'S ideas but the fact that he knew he should also listen to others when came to other things too. But the wells run dry. IF he was a genius the way some people claim he wouldn't be nearly as out of touch as he is today. WWE is succeeding in spite of him today not because of him. He didn't know what to do after the Hogan era ended and he was forced into the attitude era after he saw ECW WCW getting edgier. Then THAT ended and the company is basically floating again. Not sinking but not really going full speed ahead either.

I'd say lack of intelligence is rule #1 to being a hick. A hick is someone who is anti-intellectual, has a few isolationist, rudimentary ideas about how the world works, and takes very few pains with his/her appearance.
You've seen the type: wearing faded, dirty camo, hat with a beer logo on it, driving a beat up truck with the slogan "Ain't Skeerd" on it, drunk most of the time, always willing to start a fight.

Vince might have a crude sense of entertainment, but he's still a creative, eloquent, well-scrubbed person. There is more than enough evidence to say he's sexist, callous, and egomaniacal. I'd also agree with you that he's lost his touch for the wrestling biz. But a hick? I just don't see him as the redneck type.

I don't know if Vince hates the Southen states per say, but I do know he loathes the association with "Southern wrasslin'" characters/booking of the old NWA and indies in the 70s & 80s. I've also read that quote about his stepdad.
