The Dark Knight Rises Things you noticed after multiple viewings on DVD / BluRay.

A better question would be why not just release the DVD/BR on the same day worldwide? if WB is worried about illegal downloading or pirated copies floating around they're too late since July.
Are they really worried? There's been HD clips of the movie on YouTube for two weeks. Yes, some of them are that old too. :funny: Doesn't seem like they're taking them down...

Bane's bright blue undies when he splashes water of the fire (or something) and stands up and says AND YOU BROUGHT HIM DOWN HERE

EDIT: Also the swtich from 35mm to IMAX before the sewer fight is as Catwoman closes the shutter and it's so seamlessly done

They were old airplane hangars that they transformed in production hangars (since Begins).

I always took that particular sound effect as a sort of snarl. I think it's got to do with Bane playing with Bats during the first fight...in the moments preceding Bane's jump and turn, Batman is practically pointlessly punching him away. I always took that jump/spin as a sort of "Enough of this nonsense/****!" moment. Bane has had enough of Bats' weak attempts at fighting him and finally proceeds to truly beat the crap out of him.

Yep. That's exactly what it is. It's the first moment in the fight where we come to know that Bruce is done....

Yep. Bane was just standing there 'roping the dope' at the start, unconcerned while Batman put up his best, which didn't make the grade. It soon goes to Batman putting up his dukes, screaming out in frustration and missing his target - with Bane landing every blow and piling on the pain. The scene never gets old.

It's interesting pointing out that part of the fight, as obviously I too noticed the increase in Banes power from that point, but I thought it was as soon as Batman tried to pull Banes mask off he reacts with the spin punch and lays waste. Sort of as soon as Batman starts to focus on the mask Bane reacts more brutally.

Man, why does the camera shift back to 35mm when we get our first glimpse of Bane in the sewers? ("Why are you here?") It was IMAX format all the way until Gordon gets dropped off for Bane. That would have been a pretty awesome shot of Hardy in IMAX format since he already looked huge to begin with in that scene. Oh well.

My worries about his size went down the drain during my first viewing of Rises in IMAX. They definitely did what we thought they would, they shot him in a way that made him look much bigger and imposing.

Absolutely! I wonder if the IMAX format would have ruined it for that particular scene or not though, since he's mostly shot from the chest up in that scene. And in IMAX it would have gone lower, maybe his stomach I guess. Some shifts from IMAX to 35mm are annoying imo, but there's one instance in the movie where it's really cool. When Catwoman closes the cage on Batman, the format switches just as it shuts.

All of the replies I got made me feel like an idiot for tweeting this ...

But I honestly just noticed! To be fair, I wear glasses and just got a new prescription recently. I was blind as a bat when I saw this over the summer!

There's actually a tear in more than one of the shots. I saw one tear originally but there's at least two. (approximately 2:18:56 & 2:19:05)

Same here. I was too focus on watching Bane's mask when I saw it twice on the big screen. I didn't noticed it until I downloaded the bootleg and turned on the subtitles. :oldrazz:

Tatelia to Daggett: But you understand only money, and the power you think it buys, so why waste my time, indeed?

Daggett: I've paid you a small fortune.
Bane: And this gives you power over me?

Duh, why didn't I notice before?

lol wow, I missed it even on Blu-ray then!

Yeah I must have been focusing on other things too. The only time I saw it in IMAX was at the premiere and I was in row E... pretty close to the screen. I was so close that I literally had to move my head up/down, left/right to follow everything.

I also just now found out what John Blake's orphanage was called. "St. Swithins" I never knew what the hell he was saying there :funny:

Exactly. Which makes me wonder why people complained about Batman not going for the mask, which he clearly did; several times even. But whenever Batman appeared to get the upper hand, Bane would just swat him off, or drop him with some form of brutal offense.

In the second fight, that's all Batman was going after was the mask, until he finally broke it with his gauntlets.

Something I've been wondering...does the film actually reveal Blake's name to be "John" at any point before the ending sequence? I'm racking my brain and can't think of a point before then where he doesn't just get called by his last name.

I'm pretty sure he calls himself John Blake when he introduces himself to Gordon on the rooftop.

Edit: Nvm, he just says Blake there in that scene :hehe:

I think it's cool if they don't flat out call him "John Blake" at any point in the movie. It's playing fair. Technically you learn his first and middle name both in the same scene then.

But need to watch the movie again to be sure of this. Tuesday, my Blu-ray collection rises. :yay:
