The Dark Knight Things you noticed the second time

Doesn't Batman kill the guy in the track that he rams in with the tumbler? (The one that he brings up and crushes into the roof)

I actually noticed this the first time, but the Joker kills an awful lot of black people in the movie. You have Gambol's assistant at the meeting (the magic trick), Gambol and two associates in the pool hall, Commissioner Loeb, the traffic cop he shoots with a shotgun from his Slaughter truck, and the policeman who comes back to check on Harvey's hospital room.

I'm just glad that they had the joker captured at the end, otherwise that would have been one hell of a loose end to tie up in the next film...

Well considering Joker has a penchant for escaping capture, i'd still consider it a loose end. A lot of people will disagree with me though.

Yeah true. But at least this way they can have him imprisoned without doing something lame like someone saying they caught him in the next one without showing it (I really don't think they should recast).

Yea i agree, it would be crap if they just said in the next one "Oh by the way, we caught Joker".

I'm still torn over a re-cast. I agree with arguments for and against.

I'm laughing to myself thinking just how stupid the ferry captain's line "We're still here. That means they haven't killed us yet either" is. It's the only bad line in the movie. :lmao:

"no more dead cops!"

One thing I can't get over is how self-righteous that one man on the passenger ferry's is. You know, the balding one who brings up the vote in the first place and goes to blow it up but decides against it?

Easily my most hated character in the film.

Yes, I wished someone would just get up and knock him out.

I think it was intended to be that way, it made it that much stronger (for me at least). *shrug*

Yea i got what they were trying to convey. That he made the choice to press the button, but he couldn't follow through with it. But the guy still deserved to be knocked out.

That guy was so true to life. I can easily see some self-righteous older man trying to step up and declare himself leader in the event of an emergency.

That's not as bad as the off screen dude who shouts "Things are worse than ever!" Yikes.

Also, Brian Douglass was pretty terrible when he's telling off Batman in the garage.

lol yea. I was like "Awwww. sshhh now Brian"

Oh no, I get that and all. It wasn't the way he was written that's earned my ire, but the acting itself that irritated me, true to life or not.
