The Dark Knight Things you noticed the second time

Nope, I really believe Joker is a white supremacist. The white make-up and black/Hispanic death toll proves it. Nolan has even openly admitted to channeling his racist beliefs into the Joker’s character in the movie. The Joker is everything Nolan wants to be and do in life.

White Make-Up = White Supremacy

:applaud:applaud:applaudWow, you are a funny guy! You can stop joking now... seriously.

I see everyone's sarcasm detectors are broken. Calm down, I was kidding lol.

No I don't think you were. You went on about it for two posts.

If you couldn't indicate that it was sarcasm by that point, then that's your fault. :whatever:

Well maybe not Nolan, but I'm sure the Joker was racist!

The movie is also about a "White Clown" vs a "Dark Knight" if you think about it.

Hmm...

Little known fact, the original working title for TDK was "Brutha Knight and that Wacky *** White Clown".

Two things I noticed the 1st time I got to see this movie on a real tv and not my LCD screen (my computer monitor, that is)

One, I got to see whoever's driving the police car, after the Joker escapes. You just see a dark figure (knight?:hehe:) and that's that--but it's there. And it moves! :wow: :oldrazz:

The second thing is when you see Batman with white eyes--when he notices Engel's mumbling. Well, that one little scene (Batman looking back down at Engel) is reversed.

Harvey tWO-face KO'ing one of Maroni's goons before getting in the car.

When Batman is fighting the SWAT team, while he has white lenses, in some parts, you can see Bale´s eyes thorugh the lenses...I though that was pretty cool...

Polux

Ramierez tells Barbara to leave her house and says that she will call off the cops outside for 10 minutes.

Harvey knocks her out before she ever makes that call.

Harvey probably picked them up in a police car he borrowed from the joker.

In the original theatrical version, did Gordon's son ask why the cops were chasing Batman at the very end? the script has him doing so, but on the DVD Gordon's son simply says, "He didn't do anything wrong", and leaves it at that. This makes the Comissioner's "dark knight" line a little off-center from a narrative standpoint.

Unless you put "this is sarcastic," there's no way to tell.

Sarcasm is determined by the tone of one's voice, which can't be determined by typing.

So, either way, it's both your faults.

He does ask, "Why's he running, Dad?" which Gordon answers that the cops have to chase him. I suppose that's good enough. :oldrazz: No need to repeat all of that.

I did wonder how Gordon knew of the ferry situation, since Joker only did his speech for the ferries. But the film shows Batman calling Gordon and then it cuts away. Conceivably, Batman could have continued the call and briefed Gordon about the ferries off-screen, but the movie doesn't feel the need to go through all of that. They just make it conceivable.

- I noticed reactions from the extras in any scene with the Joker. It is hard not to have your eyes focused on the Joker every second to notice some of the shocked expressions of those near him sometimes.

- I noticed when Ramirez escorts Dent to the car, Wuertz is driving. He is about to take Dent to the warehouse ("Dent never made it home") and likely, Rachel, at that moment, was already kidnapped.

The look on her face conveys guilt, as if she knows she also just betrayed Harvey as well.

My dad caught that at first viewing, along with the "white knight/dark knight" stuff. I was so proud. :woot:

When Lucious and Lao meet, assuming it is near the top of the skyscraper on the patio, I found it interesting that there was a birdcage next to them at the table. I saw 4 different birdcages throughout the scene. Interesting touch.
