Anyways, i do think that most of them ARE comic fans.It's just that TDK gives them some kind of validation for their hobby ( comics).

Definitely agree with you there. We know that in most cases, no matter how good a comic book movie is,the source material is just better!

The only case i could think of where the movie actually IMPROVED upon the comic counterpart...is Blade.

They took a lame( personal opinion!) supporting character from tomb of Dracula and gave him a cool makeover...turning him into a cross between Buffy and the Punisher.

There's a few. Spider-Man 2 was far better than the then-present comic series at the time.

I'm not talking about comparing a film to an entire series, but rather by the different runs of writers. Spidey and X-Men comics have been pretty awful, especially mid-to-late-00's.

Ah..i see. I gotta agree with you there about X-men comics in that period of time.

Though i have to say, Spidey 2 got me reading Spider-man comics again. And i still remember it was the mark Millar 's run. It seemed the only decent Spider-man comics at the time. And to this day, i still say it was one of the better spider-man storyline.

Ehhh, I don't know. JMS' run on Amazing was in full swing at the time. And his run was pretty schizophrenic. Some arcs were effin' awesome. Like when Spidey teamed up with Loki to save one of his illegitimate kids, or when Spidey first joined the Avengers and fought Hydra with them. But then you had Sins Past and the Other and you were left saying, WTF JMS!
