Do you mean as in contract? If so, it does bind you to a 2 year contract.

Ah, I hate that subsidizing crap. And AT&T not letting you have an iPhone without paying for a data plan.

As much as I love my iPhone, my next phone will likely be a Droid.

They don't. Their unlimited is essentially 2GB. As someone who has T-Mobile I can confirm this. I'm on the 49.99 Unlimited family plan but I still think T-Mobile is slightly cheaper depending on what you get. For example, I always feel having unlimited minutes is a waste of money because personally I never talk on my phone for more than 2 minute conversations.

I think the only one with unlimited is Sprint.

Oh, and Virgin Mobile. But they're the new kids on the block (and while they claim unlimited, their website still says 2.5GB, so I'm not sure which part of the doublespeak to believe)

Well it depends on what you mean with features. Both phones are pretty similar and do pretty much the same things. The only difference is the OS and the whole Apple mystique.

as for service, I've been with T-Mobile for over 10 years and never have had a complaint service wise. Wish their 4G was more widespread but they're working on that apparently. If I had to choose another company other than T-Mobile, I'd probably go with anything not called AT&T.

I'm with T-Mobile and have the Galaxy S 1. The phone itself is subpar. Freezes a lot. T-Mobile as a carrier isn't that bad, their 4G is fast as **** and I get service where my most of my friends with iphones don't. I have unlimited data, unlimited texts and 1000 minutes (I don't think I've ever used more than 400. All my communication is through text. I average a few thousand of those a month.) and my bill is $100 a month. The same as all my friends who have iphones with AT&T. The biggest thing though is that I frequently don't receive text messages that are sent to me. It's so ****ing irritating. I'm pretty sure it's the service because I've had friends who had t-mobile with the same complaints. Personally, I would say go with the iphone. My next phone will definitely be one.

Oh and my internet service slows down at 5gb I believe but I've never once used half of that and I'm on my phone the vast majority of the time.

I honestly think T-Mobile will get the next iPhone along with the other carriers. They have the same network as AT&T (One of the reasons they tried buying T-Mobile) so it wouldn't take much honestly.

I've never had that problem. What does T-Mobile say when you've gone to them?

damn $100 a month for a cell phone bill? thats crazy!!! But I guess your plan is very good though but ouch!
