well, that's because Land gets paid a lot of money to do it. People on here are just doing it to make something that looks good for their own enjoyment.
I don't see that as a good excuse. They still get praise for being "artistic."

Jesus would be rolling over in his grave to see how the Christian Right uses his name to perpetuate hatred and oppression and maintain their stranglehold on the only "god" they truly believe in.....$$$.

Jesus would be rolling in his grave to see that people are Christian rather than Jewish. That is the religion he was representing, after all.

But, dontcha know, "the Jews" murdered him.

Christian anti-Semitism is just so laughably ignorant that it's mind-boggling.

You (by you I mean anti-Semitic Christians, not Christians in general) hate Jews, and also worship a Jew as your lord and savior and the son of God.

Get a clue about your own religion before you bash somebody else over the head with it.

Hitler claimed Jesus was not a Jew, but the bastard son of a Roman soldier who had raped Mary. Well, even if that were true, Mary was unambiguously a Jew, so by the Nazis' own "race purity" laws, Jesus would still be classified as Jewish. The Nazis classified anyone with one Jewish grandparent as a Jew and treated them as a Jew (there is a possibility this included Hitler himself).

The problem with a lot of Christians is that they are very judgmental of others, even other Christians. This is in direct conflict of their teachings, and imho relates directly to how they are taught in church and other religious/political leaders to judge, be better than every one else (whether that mean religiously more pious or more money etc) It's a real problem within the religion I believe.

Considering that the primary difference between Judaism and Christianity is the New Testament (in other words, Jesus himself), Christianity effectively evolved from Judaism due to Christ's work.

They killed him (with help from the Romans), and thus aided Jesus in achieving his greatest miracle (AND the whole reason behind his birth) by making him a human sacrifice in penance for all the sins of the world past, present and future.

Christians should be thanking the Jews. :o

I hate it when my dad tries to work out with me.

I can appreciate that he's trying to spend time with me. But he's past his prime, and it's annoying having to change out the weights for him every time. And working out is my alone time. I like having that time to blow off steam by myself.

Agreed, I don't like working out with anybody. Unless I need a spot, just leave me to my headphones.

I hate when people pay alot of money to go to the gym to stand around and talk for 2 hours, but of course they are always sitting on some sort of equipment that I need to get to and I have to always say "excuse me" and they look at me like I just stole their damn blankey from childhood, then later come up to me and ask me advice on weightlifting, and then if I tell them I 'never' see them doing any of the things I tell them to do.....aaaargghhhhh

Same. I hate that my best friend is a talker when we work out. I'm more of a blast the heaviest of metal and work out. I can't chit-chat while lifting and running.

I hate that no one on Ebay is bidding or buying my X-men/Wolverine tpbs.

I've heard about those types. I don't understand why someone would just sit around the gym doing nothing. Gym memberships cost too much money for that. Hell you can jog around the block for free. If I'm paying I'd try to get the most out of it.

It's one reason why I stopped going to the gym altogether, and now stick with Kettlebells and running. Seeing people standing around a bench or some machine just talking for about 10-20min, while getting denied to use it, only to come back later, and see they still haven't used it. :cmad:

I hate the selection the 49ers made in the 2012 draft. :cmad::cmad::cmad:

I hate the 49ers, so I've been giving my best friend who's a Niners fan a ton of **** about it. Morris Claiborne FTW!

I think that the majority of people who scour e-bay for comics are on the lookout for original issues. Maybe you could sell them to a second hand bookstore.

edit: and , i don't know if it is allowed, but you could pm some of the members who post a lot in the X-Men section, with an e-bay link, to see if they want to buy them.
I would probably buy them if I could, but I can't. Someone might actually be grateful that you sent them the link.

Yeah, that is true. I would rather just drop the price down a bit once the listing is done, because selling them to a second hand bookstore will get me dick.

Most second hand bookstores I know of don't pay anything. They just take whatever books you want off your hands, and they sell them. It's the same with your clothes and Goodwill.

aye, over here they usually give you about a third of the cover price if they are in good condition, but i didn't know what price you were starting your bids at.

I sold some Invincible and the Walking Dead TPBs, like 7 of each and they didn't go that high.

Do you remember how much roughly? Like I said earlier, I'll most likely have to drop the price down. I do have a **** ton of single issues for Uncanny X-men too. I just need to do some research to see if any of them are kind of rare.

I did ask in the Marvel comics section if anyone was interested but got no responses. I'm also thinking about selling my Spider-Man books. I mainly want to keep my Batman, Iron Man and Marvel Universe books.

There is a section just for x-men comcis though, in the x-men film section, people still post in there every day. Also, look at the Wolverine movie section, there are a lot of fans of the Wolverine comics posting in there.
what is the harm is sending them a couple of pms? It's not even just for your benefit, someone might actually want to buy those tpb's at a price cheaper than the shops.

Unless they're virtually brand new or collectible, second hand bookstores are only going to be able to sell a book for half, or even one-third, the cover price. And they're only going to give you about half that.

Of course, that's for general books. Not sure if comics are always the same.

I used to sell a lot of books, and if you go to a high quality second hand bookstore, they will give you a third of the cover price if it is a good quality book that will definitely sell. Because they will sell that kind of book for about two thirds of the price, or a little more than that.
eg, I would sell a US import Bukowski book, that was 12 quid to buy, they'd give me maybe 3.50, so round about a third, and they'd sell it for about 8.50. But they have to be in good-mint condition, and ones that will defo sell.
2nd hand bookstores that stock graphic novels, do not have that many, as most people do not think to sell them there, so they would give you a decent price, as they will sell, and might give you a better price than you would get if only one person bid on your comicbook on e-bay.

Yeah, that's why I think I'll try to stick with Ebay. I just listed them so hopefully someone bites within the next week.

I despise rapists :cmad:
They deserve to get the treatment Robocop did to one of them in the first movie
