It does come off a bit haughty, doesn't it? I'll like it, but it seems like they're trying to go too big on the heart-string-tugs. It's a great cast, and hopefully the film will provide good reason for the "aw damn I live in Gotham so I'm depressed and doomed on a massive scale!"s and the "OMG! The symbol formerly known as 'Batman' has returned! THIS IS THE SECOND COMING!"s are justified within the movie. But in the trailer it's too much.

Really? I think this is the only one that makes it look amazing.

I agree that it looks pretty incredible in terms if cinematography and scope, I just hate it as a trailer. Compared to what I expect in a trailer, it's a bunch of short clips that are not jiving together at all. A final trailer's supposed to smoothly give people an idea of the story. This doesn't. Like I said, though, I don't doubt the film will be great. I just don't think the composition of the trailer reflects that.

My sentiments also. I thought the trailer was ok (i'm not all that hyped for some reason i cant explain), but i'm staying away from those boards, because i cant stand the insanity there. One can be a fan without losing sanity lol.

I don't know what it is, but I'm just not getting excited for TDKR. With TDK, I was counting the days. With TDKR, I'm rather meh. I like the trailers, but they're just not getting me going like the TDK stuff did.

Avengers, on the other hand, has got me feeling funny in my pants.

I HATe this stupid rivalry. Avengers fans feel the need to put down TDKR and vice versa. Such different films! If they weren't both out this summer, this wouldn't be happening.

I also hate the rivalry. There's no reason for it. They're released two months apart. Why not root for both films to be good and be successful?
