I thought Thor destroyed the destroyer in the movies

Well Coulson (sniff, sniff ) did say they developed weapons for Asgardian threats after the destroyer attack. Could be that some agency has the remains somewhere. The tie in comics just out and say they do, but I tend to ignore tie in fiction unless there is some on screen corroboration.

I think that Thor losing his arm and using the Destroyer arm instead is a recent addition? I could be wrong.

And that gun did work an awful lot like the destroyer what with the orange glowy energy thing (I had never noticed that before). I never knew what happened to it because I didn't read any of the prequel comics before Thor 2. I did read Thor 2's prequel comics but that's only because I'm obsessed

I still contend that if this severing of Thor's hand is not an illusion by Loki (I'm getting into 50/50 yea or nay on that) then we have got to put the MARVEL takes it safe meme to bed. Thor walking around with one hand is pretty big, to my eyes. Thor handicapped, Iron Man with no heart problems or Armors, what ever the heck happens to Cap (sex change? ), this all bodes to very interesting (or stupid) things for Avengers 2.

Thinking about the Destroyer, you'd think it would show up if Asgard is attacked, but the most likely thing is that it will "disappear" until Marvel decides to use it again.

If I don't get to see Jaimie Alexander as Sif and Chris Hemsworth as Thor as a happy couple on the big screen before both roles are recast I am going to be so disappointed.

They just took some names from the comics and applied them to the suit in the promotional material. It was a huge disappointment in that regard. But at least the final act battle was pretty great.

hehe I keep seeing Coipel's scene where the new Kid Loki bursts into Thor's bedroom and Thor and Sif are nekkid....Yeah I want to see Sif and Thor become more than Friends too. lol

The comics Tony made Thor Buster armor that looks a lot like the Destroyer and powered by Asgardian energy. He ALSO made his own set of Armor in the Dwarves forges. Apparently there was a concept of the Asgardian armor and talk of the Thor buster but never have seen either.

Dude, you know if they got rid of Jane they would just add Amora to the mix to keep Sif and Thor from hooking up.
