Thor News and Pics Thread: Impending Super Bowl Spot Edition - Part 2

These t.v. trailers were really well done and certainly would get me excited for the movie if I didn't know any better. Chris Hemsworth from what we have seen is going to bring alot of personality to the character and make this a fun movie. He sounds so cocky, which makes him similar to Tony Stark. Going into the Avengers, I thought that Tony/Steve was going to be the most exciting pairing but now I think it will be funny seeing Tony/Thor butt heads.

I think ideally it would be Stark and Thor with their massive egos butting heads and having trouble with the team concept, with Cap being the one who is eventually able to command the respect of both characters and bring the team together. That's looking pretty likely at this point.

What we see of Hemsworth as Thor in these new spots makes me even more stoked for the movie than I was before, to the extent that is even possible. The cockiness and arrogance is perfect, and should allow for a very strong character arc throughout the movie.

I love how the action is filmed- you can actually SEE what is happening. From what we've seen, Ken B understands how to frame the action (not unlike a comic panel) to capture fight choreography and money shots in one. As much as I loved BB and DKR, Nolan could have made those movies even more awesome if he framed the fights and action the way he did in Inception. The hallway dream fight was one of the most original, complex and cool fights I've seen on film but something tells me Thor vs. Loki might end up the best superpowered fight scenes since Superman II.

EDIT: that post is a bit all over the place but I can't contain the nerdgasm.

Thor vs Iron Man would be epic on the big screen. Iron Man and Thor teaming up to b---chslap Hulk would be even better. Some of the Thor and Iron Man fans must want some revenge for Hulk vs./World War Hulk! I know I personally would like to see that stupid monster get a double taste of repulsor/lightning in a similar way Whiplash got double teamed in IM2.
