Hi, and welcome to the Hype!

I can't wait for Ragnarok, either. It seems so unfair that we in the US have to wait an extra week to see most of Marvel's films. I'll have to avoid this site after the international release to avoid spoilers.

On another note, I watch the videos on my TV in 1080p and I haven't noticed any problems with the CGI in the new Hela scenes. When the videos are viewed on a phone they look like they're of lower quality, of course, but that's down to the tiny screen and lower quality display. When we all see it in the theater we'll finally be seeing the images as they were meant to be seen. That's the real test of the effects, imo.

Yeah I'm positive those flames around the dead soldiers are from Skurge's axe.

Also Thor and Loki confronting Hela in that grassy landscape looks cool, I always wondering "why in the f*** are they in an alley" anyway.

The action looks incredible. Hela taking down the hole asgardian army by herself looks like an insane set piece. And there's so much more action on par with that and even better by the looks of it... Thor vs Hulk, Thor vs Hela, Hela vs Valkyries, Thor vs Surtur, Hulk vs Surtur, Hulk vs Fenris, Hela vs Valkyrie, Loki vs Valkyrie... there are so many great match ups it's crazy to think of all the possibilites and awesomeness that can and most likely will result from this movie.

Add to that the way Taika handles tone in his movie and is able to strike that balance between drama and humor. Then on top of that you have such a great cast. This has all to be a home run.

To top it all off, the movie looks genuinely stunning visually in a way MCU movies besides the two Gotg movies haven't really been. I've always felt that when they switched from film to digital after the first Thor, the look of all the MCU movies started to feel washed out and soft with unimpressive cinematography for the most part. That has really changed from what I've seen from this movie so far and it adds to all the other awesome aspects everyone has been talking about.

Although now I'm thinking Thor might be acting like Loki acting like Thor... work that one out.

And i am extremely happy that Marvel has released the footage in HD. That's the way going forward and i hope they release their stuff first and in a spotless manner. Surely there will be more things coming and i hope they'll be the ones releasing it ahead of everyone else. It's so much better for everyone to pinpoint the real, important, new and spotless footage.

I just noticed something potentially very interesting. Look at the statue behind Cate in that interview from the Hela featurette:

Look familiar? It's the same statue from Thor's vision in AoU that was also spotted on the set of IW a few months ago:

[BLACKOUT]She's not gonna be on the first part with 95% sure bc I've read the spoilers and she's not there, she's only mentioned, but it's pretty certain to me that Marvel intends on making her appear on part two if audiences respond well to her participation on Thor Ragnarok, they wouldn't call Cate F***ing Blanchett as one of Marvel's gratest villains for a one movie only deal. Man...this already is the most visually stunning MCU movie, and one of the best from any cinematic universe. I'm sure that this will be even more evident n the big screen!

there's this giant mural with what appears to be Odin and Hela standing next to each other and she's holding mjolnir in her right hand? There was one of Loki and Frigga next to that one too

It's got me thinking that her and Odin are somehow related and that she might have been the original owner of mjolnir? Odin's daughter/sister/ex-gf??? Tbh I'm not really sure how I feel about it. I buy her being Loki's mother more so than I do her being related to Thor just because they look so similar .

Edit: I think it may have something to do with these photos, either she changed them? Or this was a paint job to cover up the old painting? I feel she really might end up being Odin's daughter

Chadwick Boseman and Chris Hemsworth will appear on @JimmyKimmelLive, Boseman on 10/9 and Hemsworth on 10/10.

Could someone open a “Rotten Tomatoes/Early reviews and social media impressions”? Soon we should be getting plenty of stuff related to that and it would be great to have it sorted in a specific area so it would be easier to go through and also we could assemble all the related information there.

And a “Spoilers” thread would also be a welcome addition since we should also be getting more and more spoilery stuff coming out. If someone could open these 2 new threads it would be great. Thank you in advance.
