Taika basically reinvented the Thor franchise so i would hope and love to see him direct another Thor movie. I still wanna see a King Thor movie down the line. Something really good could be done with such a story.

I actually think the chances are actually pretty good, but only time will tell.

Would be a big accolade after so many successful movies.

As always, curious if it's worth seeing in 3D or possibly IMAX 3D?

Same. I heard from some guys that are actually involved in the visual effects business that the 3D conversion was really poorly done.

I haven't seen a film in 3D in ages.

Has it been stated how many post credit scenes there are?

This really is how a Masters of the Universe flick should be done. The aesthetic is on point.

Well I always go to my first viewing of all the Marvel movies in IMAX 3D, after that I generally see it again a couple times in 2D. I guess I just feel like it is an event film and the 3D to me adds another element to the experience that I can't get at home. So, it just makes it a little more special for the first viewing.

Absolutely, but there seems to be such an overwhelming positive reception to this movie that I definitely feel like it could stay at 95% or above on the tomatometer. But again we will have to wait and see.

The tone of the reviews hasn't changed yet so it certainly has a chance.

Sometimes we get so caught up with the excitement and energy of a new movie, that we forget about real world issues going on around us. I was just, very suddenly, reminded of that. A good buddy of mine, whom I served with briefly in Afghanistan, was killed in action last night. He was definitely more than “a friend from work.” He was like a brother. He’s being flown home this weekend, with a service on Monday. I had previously bought Ragnarok tickets for Sunday, but will be giving them to my neighbor. The least I can do is fly to NY to pay my respects. Gonna try to see the movie next Wednesday. I’ll report back then.

That was awesome to hear. Pretty much as big as Whedon calling it a modern masterpiece.

My greatest sympathy, respect, and gratitude to both of you.

I'm very sorry to hear that, you have my sympathies. You're of course definitely doing the right thing and the only way the film matters is that it hopefully can give you some amount of joy during the hard times.

Sorry for your loss, and your absolutely right there is no comparison to the two things. Movies are enjoyable, but they will come and go, a good friend or the love of a family member is forever. May God be with you!
