Thor: Ragnarok The Official News and Speculation Thread - - - - Part 13

I hope, if they do another Thor movie, that Baldur finally gets his just due.

As much as I love Balder and am disappointed he never made it into the series, I just can't see them introducing yet ANOTHER heretofore unknown sibling at this point. Throw in Angela too for Thor 5. LOL

Well, if there is a reality reset, everything is up for grabs...

Well he wouldn't have to be a sibling in the movies. It was quite a while before they decided he was a sibling in the comics, if memory serves.

I was only naming non Avengers, people with their own solo films and casual fan bases.

None of those other characters are going to effect the films box office.
VisionsVision will probably see this an extra 10 times just because of Vision. :woot:

uggh... a reset. sigh.

I have no idea how such a thing could be made fresh.

When it's something that happens organically in-story through the Infity Gauntlet McGuffin, and not because a studio wants to reboot because of a franchise's previous bad performance?
That would be fresh.

Don't agree. I've just seen it too much time foolery and would not be impressed. If it went to the point of erasing the events of many films, I would be less than impressed and quite angrified. But that is Worst Case Scenario, hopefully they are smarter than I worry.

I don't mind them resetting the events that happen within IW. Anywhere before that and it could get tricky.

And another 20 times if Korg is in it too. :woot:

On that note, I have a promise for Mr Feige and the Marvel Studios Overlords if they are reading these boards: If Hela is in IW, I will go to see it 20 times at least. That's a promise, from me to you good sirs.

Oh ****, I better open a savings account sharpish... :oldrazz:

I'd like to see it. It's possible that we might not know right away, though. I can imagine a scenario in which the first film focuses more on Thanos & Co. fighting with the heroes over the gems, with Hela/Death entering the story as a character in the 2nd movie (Infinity Gauntlet, or whatever it ends up being called).

I liked Blanchett as Hela a lot in Ragnarok, but I thought her best scenes happened early on. I didn't think the material for Hela later in the film was equally good. So, more Hela in a future movie definitely works for me.

Valkyrie is a good candidate for future films also, though I guess that would most likely be after the whole Infinity saga is over.

Also,
Sif could make a return at some point. I'm glad that she didn't get killed off. Sif and Heimdall have the most potential for future appearances among the Asgardian characters, imho, other than the obvious ones.

If Marvel is looking for female characters to develop, those 3 definitely deserve a look, imho.

I countersign that.

In what multi-movie shared universe have you seen the scenario I described? Because what we were discussing is if it would be innovative, or "fresh", and I can't think of anything that has done what I described. Not on film.

My wife, daughter, and I just got back from seeing it. My second time....their first. They absolutely loved it. My wife is a big fan of both the previous Thor movies....and says this one is her absolute favorite. The audience was larger tonight than last week when I saw it (at the same theater)....so maybe word of mouth is giving it legs.

That’s really nice. Glad that your family loved it. How was the second viewing for you? I guess word of mouth should be really solid for this movie. It’s a blast.

The second viewing was great...gave me a chance to look for the little things I missed first time.

2nd viewing was great for me too. This film is just so darn funny, but effortlessly showcases epic superhero visual feasts AND Emotion at the right moments. Not an easy feat at all.
