LOL. I saw The Defenders "trailer" last night on Netflix. It was a lot like looking at a 5th grade paper mache project with a bunch of letters on it.

OMG.....I'm worried The Defenders is gonna suck!!!!! :waa::waa::waa:

Not a bad shout given the trend of the Netflix shows

So Loki's father was king of the Frost Giants, yet he was "unusually small for a Frost Giant." Also he showed a natural affinity for magic, which Frigga nurtured.

I'm wondering if they might flip the script so to speak and make Hela Loki's mother here?

..and since Loki killed his biological father, perhaps he's the one to off his mother? :)

Well that was barely a teaser, I certainly wouldn't call it a trailer, but considering the negative reviews Iron Fist is getting, there may be reason for concern.

I liked Luke Cage until they killed Cottonmouth mid season, he was a way better villain than Diamondback.

I'm really liking what I hear from Blanchett. Hela sounds like she's going to be awesome.

And if she turns out to be Loki's Mom, I won't have any issue. They certainly do look like family. Loki is actually blue if I remember 'Thor' correctly.
So colour from Papa, features from Mama :D

She also says;
Asgard is so good . I mean one only need to have a mildly unpleasant thought and you’re considered evil. Everyone is too perfect. Why not mess it all up?
which sounds pretty Loki'ish too.

Yeah.....right. Sure....whatever.

The Marvel Netflix shows are definitely a step or 2 below Arrow, Supergirl, Flash, and AoS. Netflix Marvel in in a free fall....HELP!!!

Yeah. True. Still, I'm not worried about Defenders.

Who is in charge at Marvel for the Netflix shows?

EDIT: I have a feeling I don't want to know the answer.

EDIT: Why didn't Disney pay off the critics like they usually do?

Anyway, for the life of me, I can't see why people are getting concerned about the look of Thor and we haven't even gotten a teaser. Makes no sense to me.

I mean I was kind of playing along with you...but they are getting worse as they go on imo.

All the screenshots suggest this film is going to be quite a visual spectacle with a lot of color and a lot to look at. I like what I've seen thus far.

"A shot of Cate Blanchett as Hela from Thor: Ragnarok, holding Mjolnir from the top, with the handle horizontal and extending away from her. Several shots of Thor and Hulk, both in gladiator garb, as seen in EW photos. Also, a shot of Thor putting his helmet on and turning side pieces of helmet from horizontal to vertical."

It's cool. JJ was my fav....just barely ahead of DD1. Really like DD2 with a bit of a drop off with LC, but not that much IMO. I like the fact that they tried something a little bit different with regard to villains. A lot of people didn't think it worked very well, but I was okay with it.

Iron Fist?? Sounds not so promising.

I really think this is going to be, by far, the best Thor yet (Some people will say that isn't saying much, but I rather liked the first one. The second was admittedly a step down).

Yeh... Hela is definitely going to own Thor big time. She's gonna crush him.
I actually feel for the destiny of mjolnir.

Exciting, sounds like the helmet is in the movie. :hmr:

So far we've seen Odin and Vision lift Mjolnir. Soon Hela will be added to that list.

ooooo Wonder how she manages that? If she IS the one who kidnaps or hides Odin on Midgard she might be able to figure out to control Mjolnir. THAT would be a VERY mighty and Dangerous Villian for Asgard!

And Cap moved it. However, how is Hela worthy?

From the way it sounds, it's the Helmet on the one poster with Hulk in his armor. Nice to finally have it confirmed!

Most likely it's not a case of her being worthy but rather being more powerful than the enchantment.

Kurse also moved it, and by just being powerful.

Makes me wonder if the Kurse redirect was BECAUSE he was basically from a race older than our Universe. Possibly the same with Hela's mother if Loki is her father. Would make some sense if THIS universe's physical laws don't apply to them

I like your answer, another one might be if she is considered dead, perhaps the Enchantment only works with the living. Kind of the same way Thor can hang Mjolnir from a coat rack, because it is not a living thing.

But just a thought!

That makes sense too. I don't recall that ever coming up even in the comics. In the Comics, Hela was always more interested in Thor's soul than Mjolnir

Ok good because some of those Planet Nickelodeon colors are killing me. I hope the cinematography used really tones these colors down.

Ugh, no. We get enough desaturation from the DC movies. Marvel should be bright and bold. And, honestly, I don't see how any of these pics are overly colorful. If anything, they look a little too dull.

I like the new pictures. This movie looks insane, in a good way.

EDIT: Unless by "franchise" they mean just the Thor movies? Not really that big of an accomplishment if you ask me.

I suspect it's more of main villain. It's a little unclear if the Reavers or Ayesha is the main villain for Guardians. There's no doubt Hela is the main villain here. Obviously, we've had female supporting villains (e.g., Nebula) in the past.

I wonder if Thor gets his hair back. So he evidently cuts it for the gladiator setting.

Yet in that early cgi clip where Thor is fighting Hulk, he seems to have long hair.

I'm expecting another "I have the POWER!!" moment like with the Destroyer in this film where he goes back to his regular look after reuniting with the hammer.

Also, technically speaking, Kurse didn't "move" Mjolnir, he just deflected it in flight. Mjolnir is no more immune to that than to Loki parrying its strikes. Doesn't require worthiness, just suitably crazy strength.

I suspect Hela will manage whatever she does with Mjolnir through a mix of "raw power" and "I have magical might on par with Odin". After all, *he* is the one who created the worthiness enchantment in the first place.

Yeah I always figured that was a deflection. It's not immovable in motion it's enchantment is about lifting it, or that's always been my understanding. Even in comics it's been deflected by powerful beings of various origins.
