Maybe Sakaarans treat their gladiators well. Rome gave successful gladiators more privileges. Or Sakaarans might like for their gladiators to wear clothing and armor from their home worlds.

Ego is not going to get anyone in the general audience's butt into a seat, Kurt notwithstanding. The Hulk will Varth. They will pimp Hulk's presence in this movie big time.

Another example was the Hulk movie. They didn't show him until the final weeks before the opening. lol
Just saying Hulk's been used before like that. He's going to have a different look the general audience doesn't know about, They won't show it right off

Could be the opening of the film is Banner's arrival on Sakkar? Then we move on to Hela's release, Thor and Loki searching for Odin and then the brothers get sent to Sakkar too. Thor is pressed into the gladiator fights and that's when we see Hulk in his Green Scar glory.

Just a thought.

These pics are great. Loving the colors and the looks everyone has going on. Thor looks awesome with the short hair.

Okay, actual thoughts now that I've calmed myself.

- Thor looks good, loving the new armor. Of course we'll miss the hair and his classic look but it'll be back so no worries.
- Tessa Thompson looks great but I'm not really all that enthusiastic about Valkyrie's costume so far. Then again, she may wear more than one costume during the film so again, giving the benefit of the doubt.
- Jeff Goldblum looks so... Jeff Goldblum. I actually love the Grandmaster's look, I know some are disappointed that he doesn't have the blue skin, but I think that was a conscious decision to make him look more like the Collector, pretty sure they'll end up being brothers.
- Hela looks... I'm sorry, someone has to do it... hela good. I was a little worried that the classic green and black outfit looked a little cheap on the EW cover, but I'm sure it will look much better in the film, the design is perfect and classic Hela. Loving the long, dark hair, very reminiscent of Hela's recent look in the comics:

And god damn, I already had a massive crush on Cate Blancett but it has now increased tenfold.

Overall, this is looking like pure Kirby goodness and I am all over it.

Looks like it.

If I had to guess, given we now know that Hela is accidentally unleashed, I suspect whatever they do to find / restore Odin also causes Hela's release, and after this she launches her siege on Asgard and banishes Thor to Sakaar, where his head is shaved.

I'm pretty sure Tom Hiddleston said that they go to find Odin precisely because of the threat of Hela. She turns up at Asgard and basically lays waste to the place is what it sounds like.

Nothing about that costume screams Valkyrie. She doesn't have her signature pigtail braids nor her round plates on her costume.

She looks like a random Asgardian woman with a sword.

Given the blackwashing of the character she was never going to look much like Valkyrie anyway.

The costumes look rather boring. I was waiting to be WOWed by seeing Valkyrie making her big screen debute. I think they should've given Tessa blonde hair or do something different that just making her look like Tessa.

Hela looks cool, as do most of the designs. It's gonna take me a while to get used to Thor with short hair, though.

I'm digging Thor's new haircut, looks more hardened and masculine. And fan favorite Loki is still rocking his mullet.

I expected Tessa to look more badass, it looks like she stole one of Sif's spare outfits. And Cate Blanchett, that woman is on FIRE as Hel.

I wanted a REAL "Ragnorak" - dark, grim and fearsome...
Till now it looks and SOUNDS like we get a comedy!!!

"Ragnorak" seems to be a "funny event" in the MCU!
