Skurge looks awesome!

Hiddleston's face is ruining Loki for me now. Ugh. :funny:

Skurge seems cool have to wonder about his back story in this, is he protecting Asgard? A villain to Thor? or in the middle?. Maybe they eventually introduce Enchantress. Just please don't have him be one and done.

My 2 cents and based on what i have seen/know so far. Skurge was seen in behind the scenes images with Hela on the steps of Asgard. And Karl Urban has said the character has a "great arc" in the movie. I think Skurge is gonna be Hela's muscle and she will most likely treat him with disdain. She will probably value his contribute but no to so much him as a someone she really cares about...

I think he's gonna be disposable for her and that will make him have that "arc" with the epic "Skurge Last Stand" coming into play latter on in the movie. There's absolute no way they are going to gloss over that. That's Skurge defining moment.

Oh for crying out loud! Korg has totally gotten the shaft! Why even announce he is in the movie? This is getting ridiculous.
Are you serious with this?
. . .is. . . this some kind of joke? Why would it be shocking that a minor supporting character wouldn't get a big poster for the movie?

oh VisionsVision

They are all in on the Thor vs Hulk match, I hope we don't see too much of it in the trailer. It is a good focus to grab people, hopefully the GA know the movie is not all about the match up.

I love the colors and promotion reminds me of GOTG stuff which I liked too.

Hopefully this next trailer shows that the fight between those 2 is a small taste of what's to come. If we get Surtur and Fenris looking good then I'll be already nearly totally satisfied.

Ruffalo's tweets made it sound like we might get a bit more of Thor vs. Hulk in the next trailer.

I'm ok with that being a focus of the marketing, as it's a good way to generate hype without spoiling much of the main story.

We'll probably get a glimpse of some other stuff, though.

Lol at the freaking out over a very minor supporting character not getting his own character portrait...

The character portraits are fantastic, it's especially good to have our first proper look at Skurge seeing as we've seen so little of him in the promo and toys/merchandise so far. He actually looks like the comic character brought to life right off the page, so badass. :wowe:

To echo HD above, Karl Urban has already confirmed that a majority of his scenes are with Cate Blanchett so from that we can be fairly certain that Skurge is Hela's enforcer/muscle. I think it's likely he'll have a similar relationship with Hela to comic Skurge's relationship with the Enchantress, namely that he's madly devoted to her but she constantly ignores and mistreats him so he eventually betrays her and sacrifices himself to help the heroes, echoing the famous 'last stand at Gjallerbru' storyline from the comics.

With the Casket of Ancient Winters turning up in the toy models at SDCC - I hope some interesting things happen after Odin's vault gets ransacked. Lots of goodies stored in there that could post problems if in the wrong hands.

The use of the phrase "the shaft" is the giveaway, as far as the level of seriousness is concerned.

But, I admit, he had me going there for a while.

Thank you both, good to know he should have a lot of time since Hela should have some time. Hela seems to be a mix of Enchantress, traditional Hela, and possibly Death when you have Blanchett that can be done. Good that Skurge will get a bad ass moment. The movie is so stacked with top characters and actors.

Karl Urban looks so BADASS. I really hope he isn't wasted in this even though I know it's likely he will be a one and done villain.

He looks great and we know he can nail these kinds of roles if they give him anything to do. And if not at least he looks awesome and badass lol.

Well, that's pretty much the deal with Skurge... He was a fairly generic henchman type, but then Simonson did something incredibly epic and emotional with him. So good that no one has ever really dared undo it, which is pretty unusual in comics.

So that is probably what we will get, but it's all we need to get, honestly. I don't know if they will be able to hit such an emotional high as the comic was able to reach, but it should be awesome, regardless.

What's up....

On the likely chance they don't reveal the IW footage to the public, the likely chance that we will get a new Ragnarok trailer is keeping my hype alive.

We won't see the Infinity War footage online (in any official capacity), but the Ragnarok trailer is happening. Can't wait!

Taika Waititi on Instagram. :woot:
