It got a uhaw ha ha out of me, and forced me to cook dinner a half hour later after work lol.

It was beautiful, because
1. He looked serious amd confident like, "whoever is in my way is gonna get fried" like in Thor 1.
2. No mjolnir. Confirms Thor's powers are his. I just wonder why he hasn't used it before.

Also, love the color scheme of the entire scene

I wonder the same thing, hopefully it's explained as him being to reliant on Mjolnir in the past or something. Also it's nice to see they followed up on Thor surging with lightning while in that cave pool during Age of Ultron.

Also the vision Scarlett Witch gave him showed him surging with lightning and talked about Thor having to much power.

I'm curious about lightning Thor. Could be a few reasons for it. Very well could be just being super reliant on the hammer. Maybe he just never had to push himself that far without having something else to turn to. Could also be some kind of power-up he simply didn't have access to before now.

Just glad in a sense that we don't know too much about this movie. We know Thor's going to reach that kind of state, but we don't really know what it means yet. We know various characters that will appear from Fenris to Surtr, but not so much how everything will unfold.

Enough to be hyped about, but not too much (looking at you Spider-Man Homecoming trailers...).

I think that the events of Thor 1 have led Thor learn to surpress his power. It almost seems like the amount of power he can unleash is dependent on his attitude. I mean, his fight against the frost giants was the most Thor-like fight of the MCU. And in those 4 minutes, he has better striking feats and power feats than any hero in the MCU.

Fun fact. Remember when Hulkbuster and Hulk's fists colided, they created a shockwave which shattered windows? The force of their two blows did that.

When Thor fought Malekith, he hit him with a charged hammer strike, which Malekith blocked. The revuberation of Thor's strike had the same effect as Hulk and Hulkbuster..except Malekith didn't meet Thor's hammer with force, he blocked it which meant that shockwave was all Thor. With that logic, you can say the combined force of Hulkbuster and Hulk's punch is equal to Thor's charged hammer strike.

He still is the most powerful hero in the MCU by feats..and he can hit harder than Hulk, Vision, Giant man, etc ,and it isn't close. I really hope that's alluded to in the movies.

The Living Tribunal is above such human constructs.so, neither.

He's above eternity, Infinity, death, etc. He is the embodiment of judgement of the multiverse.

He is multiversal law and stability. In the IG saga, he determines the gems can't work together, etc. He is on a tier above even the IG.

How would he feel about Thanos destroying the Universe?

Eternity asks his opinion about Thanos' rise to omnipotence, and the Living Tribunal's response is that Thanos has not broken any natural laws, so he refuses to intervene.

That's when Eternity and the other cosmic entities decide to attack Thanos themselves.

It's basically implied that the Living Tribunal could nullify Thanos' actions, and deprive him of his power, but he sees no reason to do so (in the comic).

...and he has a cool staff that he lets Baron Mordo borrow from time to time :sly:

Love how the cast get along :hrt:

Heh notice Cate sort of studying Chris for a moment while Mark is talking....

Damn...

They'd make a hot couple :p the way they look at each other. :D :O

Think thor just used his hammer to focus his lightening.

Just watched it again after a good night sleep and it still gave me chills. Epic stuff.

Did thor really fly in this trailer?
I would say yes. The way he comes in and lands surely looks like he is indeed flying without mjolnir.

And he basically does just that to Warlock when he judges his worth to wield the IG.

I did not enjoy the trailer at all. It seemed uber campy and ott. The lightning mode was the only redeeming quality imo.

Does anyone else think it's a little odd how Thor says he needs to form a team, and yet we see no signs of Sif or the Warriors three? Are they confirmed to not be in this one?

Sif's definitely in this one there's footage of her I believe.

I hope it's this, I don't want it to be a one time power up that he only uses in this film.

Well in comics, Warlock and Eternity called trial, requesting LT to disable the gems. He didnt see anything wrong because no universal law was broken. Thanos saught out the gems on his own and fairly obtained that power. After everything that transpires, he overrules his previous ruling.

Pretry sure Hogun is seen leading the army against hela where she is facing them all. The next shot he is gone so guessing he gets killed.

I think Fandral can be seen with Heimdall as well at least it's a blonde dude with mid length hair and what looks a goatee.

I've heard people say the trailer showed a lot which it did in terms of imagery but can anyone say they know the story beats in order like many trailers.

My guess is Thor arrives in asgard realises Odin is Loki takes Loki to earth to find Odin is confronted by Hela who guess has been accidentally/intentionally let out by Loki. Hela destroys mjolnir takes Thor to Hel from there he goes to Sakaar maybe Loki convinces her to send him there? Then from there we have more idea of plot.

I think Thor will defeat Hela on his own then everyone joins to take on Surtur

Remember in the original script for Thor: The Dark World, Thor was supposed to use lightning from all 9 realms to defeat Malekith?

I wonder if they decided to save that attack for this film, against Surtur or Help in the final battle.

Don't think it is. That scene from trailer 1, when Thor uppercuts Hulk is incomplete. There was early footage, cgi of that scene, which had Thor surrounded in lightning and "powering up"

Not at all. His team is made of people who are with him on Sakaar. Sif and the Warriors 3 are on Asgard (or dead).

Are they confirmed to not be in this one?

They are in this one. The actors who play Hogun and Fandrall were photographed while not filming in Australia and Hogun is in the second trailer.

I hope Sif survives.

Anyone catch the easter egg of the Grandmaster's statues?
