They probably were all past champions in Grandmasters "Contest of Champions".

With the whole hammer discussion.
I think Thor's self discovery line means he has been learning more about his powers and what he can do. He was too reliant on Mjolnir especially with the words it carries about having the power of Thor. I think the self discovery line will also be Jane related, that has to be wrapped up in some way.

Don't think it is. That scene from trailer 1, when Thor uppercuts Hulk is incomplete. There was early footage, cgi of that scene, which had Thor surrounded in lightning and "powering up"

I think they had the arrangement of that footage confused.

Based on the trailer they're going to save that moment of him "charging up" for something more important later in the film.

I saw the statues but i didn't knew who they where. Onde definitely resembled [BLACKOUT]Beta Ray Bill[/BLACKOUT]. That's a awesome nod. I think those are suppose to be the previous Champions. One of them looks like Russel Crowe in gladiator.

That's just amazing. I mean come on...

The Living Tribunal is above such human constructs.so, neither.

He's above eternity, Infinity, death, etc. He is the embodiment of judgement of the multiverse.

He is multiversal law and stability. In the IG saga, he determines the gems can't work together, etc. He is on a tier above even the IG.

How would he feel about Thanos destroying the Universe?
In the "What if the Avengers had become pawns of Korvac?" issue, the Living Tribunal stated that his responsibilities stretch "far beyond this one universe", before basically abandoning this one.

I think you're right on the Russel Crowe one. I mean they're fellow Kiwi's right?

I gotta say the Trailer is crushing on Youtube's Marvel channel. Following on the steps of the grand success of the Teaser Trailer. From what i saw it actually did better in only 24 hours in Marvel's Youtube channel. The Teaser had 13M views and this one had 14M or something like that. That's great.

If they were previous champions, would that mean Hulk defeated one of them? Is there significance to the order they appear on the tower, like was Man-Thing the first, or was he the last?

So much intrigue and lore has been suggested through this freaking tower, it's incredible.

Full EW interview the Thor: Ragnarok cast gave at Comic-Con:
[YT]rs0kSmU-afc[/YT]

They actually explain where did the line "He's a friend from work!" came from. They had kids on set one day and apparently one of the kids said something like that which they decided to use on the Teaser Trailer. That's sweet. The cast just seem to have so much chemistry, it really looks like they care for each other and had a great time. That makes me happy. :yay:

Any word on who is voicing Hulk yet? That surely isn't Lou.

Not necessarily to the first question. But we are probably going to get explained why and how he became the present Champion. I don't know to the second question, i guess it could be in order of appearance... Like the one on the top would be the first and so on.

Oh and apparently Rachel House character is called "Tobias" or something like that i couldn't really hear properly. She is The Grandmaster's "bodyguard".

I dont know how this just occurred to me but it just did
How in the almighty f** does a taser take down the god of thunder, even if hes semi depowered??

I love this poster, often when including that much imagery things look cluttered, but this is executed like the best SW posters and just like the trailer is popping with vibrant colour.

Oh man I hope not. I can never take that name seriously anymore lol.

It's been discussed before, and it probably has something to do with the story surrounding Sakaar.

In the comics, characters who arrive there are weakened initially, and the arena has some kind of mind control device.

They probably won't use exactly the same concepts in the movie, but something along those lines makes sense.

Power-dampening tech, to capture and deal with potential champions, for example.

The scene calls back to the taser scene in Thor 1, obviously, but I would guess that that is not an ordinary taser.
