Haha, very true. And less of a circus.

Probably just a placeholder.

I'm not so sure, like I said Fandango doesn't usually use a placeholder if the runtime isn't known yet. For example, the Justice League page has no runtime, neither does the page for The Last Jedi. If it's not accurate, it's more likely just a mistake IMO. But it's certainly not outside the realm of possibility, we know that Mark Mothersbaugh has started working on the score so surely it stands that there must be a final cut. Taika said at SDCC that there was more than one cut of the film, one that ran at about 100 minutes and another that ran at about 2 hours. They may have decided to go with the longer one, it's worth remembering that it's not entirely Taika's decision. He may have wanted the shorter one, but Marvel Studios may have wanted the longer one, and it's ultimately their decision I would imagine.

I guess we'll have to wait & see.

AMC theaters confirmed the runtime. Looks like Taika did it in his own way too.

Very interesting, Fandango is now showing the runtime as being 2 hours 10 minutes. It could be a placeholder, but someone on reddit pointed out that it's a little specific to be a placeholder and Fandango don't usually use random placeholders anyway... Justice League, for example, doesn't have a runtime stated yet... mistake, or no? :thf:

I'm pleased with the runtime. VERY excited for this. This has been easily the best year when it comes to superhero films, and I think Taika is going to hit this one out of the park. Easily the best trailers I've seen in years.

They obviously logged in to their Hype accounts and saw the raging debate in this thread! :woot:

Wait so this is officially 2 hours and ten minutes? Great news. I wasn't thrilled with it being 100 minutes.

Don't know if it was posted before, but new latin-american poster:

Seriously all the posters have been great (so many good looking characters to use on them!) and the runtime news means we get a lot more Ragnarok!

And I like him for it! If people are going to offer him those low hanging ones, I gotta approve of him going for it. (and he does it so well, picked just the right runtime to be potentially realistic, but also enraging, lol)

Oh thanks! From the man himself. The runtime was the only blip in the amazing hype for this film and with that banana skin avoided there is nothing stopping this from being the true epic we've been waiting for from a Thor film, and delivering on everything we've seen in the 2 great trailers.
