I certainly respect Snyder's oppinions on 3D.. But come on. I would have loved to see Superman fly in 3D though!

Actually, and I posted about this a while back, it turns out Pixel Liberation Front has been working with Snyder on certain scenes (Same company that worked on Avatar's 3D shots and cgi). I'm friends with someone from the company. Turns out some fight scenes will be filmed in a similar manner (I'm guessing for tougher shots such as on top of buildings or mountains etc...). She also revealed that IT IS INDEED BEING FILMED IN 3D. I'm assuming they will be using something similar to this.

I never said anything about Jon Peters, or *****ed about his suit, which I didn't know existed. So... Yeah. Good comeback, though. Totally had something to do with what I said.

Many fans like the new suit fine. The \S/, the cape and the boots look great, much better than the ugly suit from SR.

Batman doesn't wear trunks in the movies and no one is complaining.

They're iconic. When people think Superman they think trunks. Not the "S" that's featured on at least one item in every house in America, or the John Williams score, or the flowing red cape, or Christopher Reeve, or the fact he's Superman. When people think Superman, they think trunks. Being upset that the trunks aren't there or thinking it looks bad is fine, but to write the entire movie off because they're not there is ridiculous.

Agreed. What I don't understand though is people enjoying Smallville with all this crap going on and constant visits to Smallville from aliens and "the blur". From what I have seen of Smallville (which was not much, not even a whole episode) I can't imagine someone could like that, but not like a movie they have not even seen a trailer for yet based on cellphone pictures from the set. I don't understand that at all. True I never read much of the comics but to my understanding, Superman grows up in Smallville and slowly develops his powers and doesn't face any villains or does anything "super" while at Smallville until he finally becomes Superman. Where did all this other crap come from in Smallville with the black costume and everything else?

btw, SR suit isn't ugly at all!!! the story is poor, doesn't make the suit. it has the best \S/, best blue!

Well alright! Have fun moping that Superman doesn't have his trunks anymore. I bet you walk into work with a frown on your face and when your co-workers ask what's wrong you say "They took Superman's red trunks away" (in the way a five year old would pout).

None of those, actually. The MOS suit is a different implementation of a slightly different design. Materials aren't the same, there's boots, S-shield design AND size is different, texture is different, cape attachment is different, there's a belt or a belt-like element.

IF that is Shannon in the mocap suit, I wouldn't be surprised if we see Zod wearing some big hulking nasty suit of armor akin to Russian Zod or "For Tomorrow" Zod.

I think we will see something like that. They are using some Mo-Cap tech and look at the think extended from his head? It is about a foot high.

Plus, this is Snyder afterall. Zod being in a kick ass Kryptonian battle suit ala For Tomorrow will make a great visual!
