yea i hate that wb cant get things moving along with the sc stable of characters. Right now in that area we got hex and gl the most likely films to be shooting next yr for 2010/11 releases but flash/ww and others are still moving no where. I so would like to see them finally get these films out there and they are good quality films like bb/tdk has been for batman.

Becuase a WW movie will bomb. I think Flash, GL, heck I even think Hawkgirl(I'm lying about Hawkgirl actually)will do great at the BO but WW.........a bomb waiting to happen. I think Welling will end up playing Supes on the big screen. He was really close to playing him in JL:M before G&M stepped in but there are no longer any restraints.

I think if offered the role he would take it

1) He has been on Smallville 8 years now he may play Clark Kent but most people would say he is Superman so it's a bit late to worry about type casting

2)Robert Downey Jr ,Christian Bale and Edward Norton all great actors have all played Superhero's it's no longer looked down at to play a Superhero and certainly it hasn't hurt any of thier career's.I would argue that Tom's best option is to take Superman after Smallville as it would lead to other roles.

But you know maybe Tom like's working on TV and will want to continue that after Smallville ,think David Boreneaz who did many years in Buffy and Angel ,Sci Fi shows and has moved into a more mainstream show in ''BONES''.

All Welling has is SV, he'd be a fool to turn down a Superman role. It's not looking like he's going to break out into a mainstream movie actor.

It's hard to tell with anyone who's tied to the set of a TV show 9 months out of the year, 6 days a week, for 10-12 hours at a clip. It's not like his SV contract allows him much free time to do many mainstream films. They either have to be able to be shot over the summer hiatus (CBTD movies) or have to be in Vancouver and only need him for small parts each day (The Fog). Not exactly a lot of choices there. All things considered though I think Tom's future lies behind the camera as opposed to in front of it.

What are you on about? He had a normal job already (building labourer & modelling) and gave it up to be an actor. He's a grown man, I'm sure he can and will do whatever he wants to.

However Welling or Routh would not be a bad choice as long as they don't carry over their history of their other projects. However I see it more likely Routh will be the one then Welling out of the two giving all the reports on him and the new movie.

Those restrictions are so idiotic indeed, like a young Bruce Wayne would ruin the franchise just for appearing on the show.
It doesn't make sense at all, we still have SV despite SR, WB should get a clue.

Even though i would love welling to get the cameo clark kent spot in the upcoming GL film. I rather it be someone new, and if a total reboot superman film does happen(i really hope it does) they should have that actor get the cameo spot.
