Yeah, well, we all believe your teeth are crooked and your food sucks, so we're even. :oldrazz:

maybe...Id like to travel outside the touristy areas...maybe travel through some of England and end the trip in London...

I'd go to Scotland. I've always wanted to walk around in a castle. Scotland's got plenty of abandoned/tourist-friendly ones, right?

Go to Leeds, thats where i live. But RTD made it look like a ****hole in the episode Turn Left.... ****ing Nobhead....:cmad:

wasn't Leeds the place where they sent all the survivors and the refugees when London got destroyed??
Yes there, but RTD made it look ****. It's also where that Scottish kid was found after he escaped the aliens in Torchwood Children of Earth.

well its a place that is overrun with survivors and military people...how nice was it supposed to look?? or would you have preferred they **** all over someone elses town?:oldrazz:

Eh, it's no big deal. Just tell people you don't live in the part where they keep their downtrodden refugees.

There are abandoned Castles all over the UK and Ireland. Castles get pretty boring fast when your a kid in England. Everytime they want a cheap school field trip they put you on the bus to a damn castles :cmad:

I must of been to atleast 6 different castles before I was 8 years old.

Isn't Leeds attacked by the scottish in Braveheart as well?

I never had a desire to go up to Northern England guess I was happy down south in London with all those unfriendly ponces but after knowing hotties with sexy accents like Sinead Moynihan (google image her :cwink:)are running around up there I've changed my mind and mind hit up the place

Ooh, speaking of northern England, I'd want to see Hadrian's Wall, too. Is any of it still standing? I like historical stuff like that.

Re: Frobisher

BlackLantern is right. Who was he going to turn the gun on? The Prime Minister? Someone else would've stepped up and continued to send the children to the 4-5-6. It might've gotten his own children spared again, but I think he was way beyond thinking just about his own family at that point. You could see the very deal with the 4-5-6 tearing him apart bit by bit. If he had lived to see a world where 10% of the world's children were sold out to some drugged out alien in a gas cloud, he would've eventually turned that gun on himself anyway.

That's not justification to euthanizing his family. Sorry. A real man would've fought to his last breath to protect them and not given up. Rhys and Gwen at least fought and Ianto's family fought to protect their children.

It made sense for him. He knew what they were up against a lot better than any of those others. Obviously, it wasn't a good thing, but from Frobisher's perspective, sparing his family the horrors of the 4 5 6 was the best thing he could do for them under the circumstances.

Here's my other problem, the 456 is asking for like 10% of the world's children, and Torchwood at the end was only localizing everything to England. What about the rest of the world?

England was the 456's base on Earth, so it was the best place to mount an offense against them. Plus, all the people who'd dealt with the 456 before were in England. Convenient? Sure, but no more so than America being at the center of everything in US shows and movies.

and also ( as the story goes), England agreed to the deal first time around so the 456 figured we squeezed them before, so our chances of getting over again are pretty good

It doesn't spread across the country like it used to but a fair amount is still there.

The rest of the world were also collecting up 10% of their children: It was left up to each country how they would go about filling their own quota (we were only shown what the UK was doing).

For the UK the government decided to serve up working class kiddies for disposal, the 'rationale' being all the upper class kiddies are naturally going to grow up be much 'better' people....Sad thing is, if something like this ever did happen I wouldn't be surprised if that's exactly the kind of thing that our government would do.

An annoyance for me with the story is that b#tch who suggested and pressed for the idea looked set to take over from the rightfully shamed PM. Would have like to have seen her get what she deserved.
