What a dick. In the first episode he uses some sort of love potion spray to make a girl want to make love to him (so rape basicly). Then the boyfriend tries to help and he does it to him too.
Bad move making one of the main characters a rapist.

Yeah, and not even the zany, fun, almost-rapist that Xander became on Buffy when he tried the same stunt. Owen actually went ahead and banged the woman.

Never have I felt so much hate for one show before....I seriouly stopped watching the show because of that....I could not believe it. A few months later I watched it all again for Jack...
Owen has not paid for his crimes!

They are the only two likable characters. The rest are *****e bags.
Its funny because if Ianto and Gwen where dead it would actully be alot eaiser for the team because they cause most of the trouble in the first series.
Owen looks like his been sucking on a lemon half the time. I can by into aliens sex addicts and time travelling bisexual time cops, but no way can I buy into Owen as a doctor. Lemon face looks like he should be selling someone house insurance in the east end of london.
Plus the whole Gwen/Owen sub plot was boring and they mentionedToshi had feelings for Owen then never brought it up again

I agree. The sex feels very tacked on, just to grab viewers...if they limited it and concentrated more on story telling and developing the characters (besides making them all sex starved) the show can be even better.
Not that the stories are not good now...they just get bogged down by too much filler.

He'd probably like the latter. Anyway, I think the ghost machine episode and the episode with the time displaced people from the 50s fleshed him out a bit more.

Indeed which is why I think it very funny that Jack who is the most sex freaky one of the bunch has not had much yet.

Ianto's an idiot. Like he couldn't have figured out that his stupid girlfriend was already too far gone into Cyberman-ness and would try to kill everyone.
And on top of that, after spending so long pining for that ho, once Jack killed her, he went and hopped right into bed with Jack himself. Yet more of that pansexuality that RTD loves so much yet makes so little sense.

Makes perfect sense to me. Most people I talk to don't believe in sexuality and I'm glad to see one show have characters treat whether private parts are shaped this way or that way no big deal.

Ianto is awesome. He's the character I can relate to the most. I think I might name my son Ianto. It's such an awesome name.
