Transformers RPG Season I Sign up/OOC Thread

I've got about ten minutes' time to spend on the interweb, so I'm making them count.

Character you plan on playing: Brawl.

Type of Vehicle: Modified M1 Abrams Tank.

Team affiliation: Decepticons, Combaticons.

Any important previous Cybertron details or stories for your character: Being a walking engine of hatred and destruction, Brawl, and the other Decepticons that would later become known as the Combaticons, attempted to overthrow Megatron. Despite having firepower and sheer brute force rivaling the Lord of the Decepticons, Brawl and the Combaticons were defeated and their bodies were destroyed.

Enter Starscream. Ever the planner, before beginning his search across the stars for a new world and energon supply, Starscream had stolen the imprisoned and bodyless sparks of the Combaticons and had taken them to Earth, intending to construct new bodies and have Brawl and the others serve under Starscream's orders.

Three Reasons you choose this character:
1. I need to quench my thirst for blood. A vast supply of villains allow my to do that.

2. I'd like to give what I think would be a good backstory to Brawl's lust for destruction.

3. I enjoy blowing **** up.

What can you bring to this RPG and your character: Many, many explosions. Also, I guess that I might also be playing the part of Bruticus whenever the Combaticons combine together, until another Combaticon player signs up, unless anyone objects. I plan to just run with Brawl as a loner for the vast majority of the time, but who knows when Bruticus may serve to better a story.

I also have an idea to establish a backstory and rivalry between Brawl and Grimlock from back on Cybertron.

What font will your character speak in: Bold, Dark Green, Franklin Gothic Medium.

Any attached NPCs: The other Combaticons; Vortex, Onslaught, Blast Off, and Swindle, although I don't plan on interacting with them any more than the rest of the Decepticons, unless Starscream or Megatron outright orders the Combaticons to combine into Bruticus.

A smoldering swath had been cut straight through the Autobots. Lubricant was bleeding out of everywhere on several of them, even. The dirty little humans' weapons of would-be destruction lay useless and broken at their feet. If he actually cared, Brawl would've laughed at the sight as he rolled down the street and fired a few machine gun rounds at any movement, without much consideration.

He soon came upon the battered and broken corpses of Optimus Prime and Megatron, having died by each other's hand at this very spot. Graffiti had been sprayed all over the fallen chassis of the former Lord of the Decepticons, and Brawl finally gave a soft chuckle at the sight. "See you in the pit," he laughed.

The sound of his voice in the otherwise silent and spent battleground must have startled one of the young natives of this mudball of a planet. A small face peeked out from behind a pile of mortar, tears in his eyes. At the sight of the child, Brawl transformed and bent down to look into the human's eyes. The insect didn't seem surprised to see a Transformer; he and the other inhabitants had very likely gotten used to the Cybertronians stomping around this neighborhood.

"W-whatever you want from us, j-j-just take it," sobbed the child. "Just tell me what you want us to do and we'll... we'll do it."

Brawl tilted his head to the side in thought, contemplating further action, for less than a nanoclick. "I want you all to die."

 

Sorry, Spike, but Syn gave me instructions not to approve Combaticons until he got back.

So unless you have his direct permission, I have to deny.

He and I did already work out the details, but I can wait until he gets back for approval.

 

Yeah. I also saw the plug for the idea in the CAH OOC thread. And now I've seen the second PM. Is there going to be a third?

Doesn't seem like much of a reason to deny approval, as long as the applicant is aware of that situation, but whatever - I'm cool with waiting.

BTW, I would post as Jazz (I haven't abandoned the character or anything), but I don't want to interrupt those guys as they set up the backstory to the Key of Vector Sigma.

 

I'm still trying to think of how Optimus would respond to all this information, personally.

It really pains me to do this, guys, but I think I'm done here. It's been a good run, and I never would have expected this, but...what can I say?

I'll continue my GMing duties until Syn returns.

*Roll with me here, this is just a certain situation post, not relevant to the RPG*

The autobots looked across the battlefield, victorious. "Good job autobots, we've defended the city and set back Megatron's forces, a fine victory.." the leader spoke out. He stood amoungst them, damaged and hurt, but nothing could lower his spirits.

"Auto bots, transform and roll out!" Optimus Prime commanded, then watched his commrades break apart and form back into their appropriate vehicles. Each one had stayed with him till the end. For that, he was immensley thankfull.

He prepared to follow his friends as they drove off into the sunset. Yes, he was thankfull, and he could only hope this was a major victory in the war against the decepticons.​

Hmm, I think the easiest way to be brought to speed is to find the post where everybody starts waking up on their respective ships on earth.
