The Dark Knight Rises Two-Face to return?...Maybe

yes yes YES

someone get me a new pair of pants

im sure it could happen because you can make the case that you cant really tell that two face dies at the end...i hope it doesnt get goofy though...

Is there any chance anyone could YouTube this vid or something? It's only accessible to those in the US.

Personally, I think Eckhart's playing around. Nolan might have told him to do so, to further confuse everyone. :D

Yeah Eckhart was playing with the reporter.

and Yeah upload this video on Youtube.

I can't believe how gullible a lot of people are. Do you honestly think Aaron knows anything to report, anyway? He's probably so f***ing sick of being asked about Two-Face, and that's all I saw watching that interview.

*TOP SECRET flashback*

General Streck: *talking on the phone* What is the condition of Harvey Dent?

*pause*

General Streck: Very well, let me know if there is any change in his condition for the sequel.

*hangs up*

General Streck: He's dead.

Oh Eckhart! How you tease me so...
(im glad he answered like that...makes me wonder now :oldrazz:)

 for Top Secret reference.

I'm gonna see it like Brian Azzarello does, as morbid as it may be: “When Heath Ledger died, Harvey Dent came back to life.”

If the Nolans decided to bring Dent-Face back, you know they're gonna have a damn good reason and way to do it.

The only thing anyone ,including Eckhart, has said is that Harvey Dent is dead, not Two-Face. I think Nolan and crew are being cagey when they talk like this, and until it's officially announced that Two-Face is indeed dead and someone else is the villian in the next movie, We shouldn't really discount the possibility.

Hit the nail dead center on the head my friend.

I don't like the script excuse either, because the script for BB also said that Ras died in the opening quarter. Low and behold we find out that Ducard was Ras all along. The script isn't a Bible, the script is what they want the audience to think at that given page.

I HOPE TO ****ING GOD THEY BRING TWO FACE BACK!

Seriously Eckhardt was so bad ass as Two Face i really want him to be in a whole movie

Hell id rather have a movie with Two Face than Riddler than maybe have any other minor villain as well since Nolan likes to use multilple villains.

While i thought Two Face did have some sweet scenes in TDK i wanna see more

They should have two face alive and stuck in arkham. Then in part 3 he breaks out and robs the second national back, on the second anniversary of batman catching him.

Riddler would also appear in this as well as Robin. Riddler and Two face team together and so do batman and robin.

Batman wanted Harvey to replace him, but now that harvery is bad, bruce must be batman forever.

hahha this is a joke right? ....right??

I think it gives us some choices.
I feel that Nolan always intended to have Joker in a possible third movie, hence the character didn't die at the end.
However, Ledger's death closed that route.
Two-face (and Dent) die at the end, as no-one figured they would need to return for the third movie...
BUUUUUUTTTTT....
With Bats taking the fall for the murders that Two-Face committed, a (semi)logical next step woudl be for TF to not be dead (who really stays dead in the comics, anyway?), and Bats returns to action to clear his name by bringing TF in to face punishment by the justice system he so loved and fought for when he was Dent.
Possibly title it, "The Dark Knight Returns"? Nah.
"The Dark Knight: Redemption". Nah.
I dunno.

I dont know. I mean, a part of me would like to see more Two face, but the other part says no. It just seems ridiculous to me that they would hide a man for the rest of his life. Especially knowing that if he ever broke out or got free somehow, it would probably cause an extreme riot in Gotham when the citizens found out the truth.

The reason Batman accepted blame for Dent killings is because he's dead. That leaves the truth in Batman and Gordon's hands only.

If Dent were alive then, unless Gordon kept him in his house or Batman in the Batcave secretly, the whole plan would depend on keeping Dent inhumanely captive.

They can't have him at Arkham since that would mean to have many people knowing he's alive and being an accomplice.

Keeping Dent hidden against his will would be inhumane and criminal. The thing works because he is dead. Him being dead is what leaves Gordon and Batman free to change the facts.

And the hands of a third man: The Joker. Which is an angle they would have likely explored had Heath Ledger lived to return for part 3.

Joker was a must for the third movie. I agree.

It's not like anybody is goling to believe in Joker's testimony though.

he's dead, Aaron's probably a little tired of getting asked that question

And then we're dealing with seeing the Joker without make-up. Or do we really expect they would allow him to keep it on while behind bars and in court. I doubt it. Seeing no make-up for one second is one thing but I don't care to see him for an extended period of time without it on.

Though on the flipside, it's a different dimension to the character, so if they WERE to recast, having the new actor enter the role sans make-up would ease in the transition before they returned to full-on Joker mode.

I don't want them to bring Two-Face back from the dead, just like I don't want them to re-cast the Joker. Leave them at peace and get a new movie with a new story with new villains.

Now, am I slightly disappointed that Two-Face was not used enough in TDK? Sure, because Eckhart did a great job with him. But I'll be a lot more disapponted if they revive Two-Face with some half-assed explanation like "We hid him in Arkham and staged everything".

personally, i think eckhart was just screwing around...why.... well for one, to keep the stir going about TDK for oscars...and because like i said earlier, everyone there was drinking. he was probably just having fun.

that being said... how does Eckhart returning as twoface ruin the ending of TDK? the "Im not a hero" speech is not ruined. Regardless is twoface is alive or not, batman is taking the blame for the killings because he doesnt want HARVEYs image destroyed.

"you either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain" i mean that quote is NOT about harvey twoface. its about batman.

the way i see it, bringing harvey back wont ruin anything. except the funeral speech where gordon is sayin "a knight...shining"

but also, no one expected Heath to die. which im confident in saying Heath was meant to be the main villain in 3 too. so when he died, it kinda put nolan and co in a pickle. bring back an awesome villain, or try something new like riddler.

IMO IF he comes back, which i personally dont think so, its most likely because heath was going to be a returning villain, now he cant be. so they go for the next best choice.

watch WB get into with nolan about bringing twoface back (nolan wont want too), and WB brings in a new director who brings twoface back.....then.......FLOP! Spidey 3 but worse.

SCHUMACHER!

:hehe:

Eh, significant interactions with the Joker while not looking like the Joker. I'll pass. I'm fine with no perma-white, but no white at all? No thanks.

This is a sentiment that I can certainly understand. Let The Dark Knight stand as a movie in itself, just as Batman Begins does. Then you bring in a new love interest (Catwoman) and new villains for the third Batman, so that Batman 3 stands on its own merits too, rather than being too dependent on The Dark Knight.

To me his dead was very ambiguous and one of the reasons the ending was very good to me. Everything was rocked to its foundation. Two Faces death was also a good part of that.

When batman knocks him down in the end the coin falls flat on the good side(I think). Does this mean destiny wants TwoFace to live?

What we saw at the end of TDK, was gordon doing PR allowing for Dents death. We dont really know where his real body is. Bringing him back on the 3rd now would be a nice shocker. Agreed with Elpayaso and Keyser Soze about the significance of the joker in regards to the truth.

Police reached the place right when Batman was leaving. They must have seen Dent's body and called an ambulance. So unless they all agreed on this weird plan of Gordon and Batman, Dent's death had to be documented. And since we all saw the eulogy, it's clear what was Dent's condition. Not to mention that Dent wasn't breathing when Batman manipulated his head.

There was nothing ambiguous about his death.
